Even with a broken hand, this woman still has to fetch water. Her pain doesn't matter. The struggle of carrying heavy jugs with one hand doesn't matter. What matters is that she returns home with enough water for her and her husband to survive.
Water to drink. To cook. To knead bread. To bathe. To clean.
These are the most basic necessities of life, yet in Gaza, accessing them has become a daily, exhausting battle for survival under a devastating blockade that has destroyed water infrastructure and wells across the Strip.
Water is life. Access to it should never be a struggle for anyone — especially those carrying physical injuries while navigating extreme displacement.
Bridge Gaza works directly on the ground to deliver clean, potable water via water trucks to displaced families across informal camps.
(Note: All field distributions and water trucking budgets include the mandatory 11% banking commission required to deliver aid directly onto the ground in Gaza).

The occupation has taken everything from Palestinians in Gaza — even the right to live out their remaining days and die on their own land.
This Hajja has lost her children and grandchildren. Now displaced in a worn-thin tent in Karam Camp, her only wish is that God keeps her alive long enough to be “allowed” to return to her home.
Imagine surviving the loss of your entire family, only to spend your remaining years begging to return to the place where you belong.
Prisoners within Gaza. Internally displaced captives, denied even the basic dignity of returning home by a cruel military occupation.
How much more can a people endure? Bridge Gaza continues to stand with elders like her, providing direct relief, food, water, and shelter support in the camps where they are forced to wait.

The children in Gaza should be dreaming of their futures, playing with their friends, and sitting in classrooms — not searching through rubble and waiting in lines for a drop of water or a single meal just to survive another day.
An entire generation is being forced to grow up under conditions no child should ever endure. But even amidst this unimaginable destruction, we refuse to accept that there is no future. Every meal delivered, every drop of clean water trucked into a camp, and every tent secured is an act of resistance, survival, and a promise to these children that they are not abandoned.
Today, on October 12, Bridge Gaza continues to stand directly with these children and their families across the camps, providing life-saving food, clean drinking water, medical care, and winter shelter.

Her home was bombed with her family inside. She lost most of her loved ones. During the peak of famine, they were forced to eat leaves from trees because there was absolutely nothing else.
She remembers cooking fresh fish, chicken, and beef for her children. Now, after three long years of genocide, she depends entirely on food distributions just to keep her remaining family alive.
During our recent field outreach in Yafa 2 Camp — home to 170 displaced families struggling with severe food insecurity and inadequate shelter — Bridge Gaza provided 525 hot meals of rice with minced meat. The total cost of this distribution was $1,455, which includes the mandatory 11% banking commission required to deliver funds directly onto the ground.
Today, on October 12, as hunger remains a constant threat, hot meals offer not just nourishment, but relief and a message to these mothers that they are not forgotten. by @bethebridge.gaza

It rained last week in Gaza. The unexpected storm damaged tents that have already endured multiple summers of intense heat and multiple winters of relentless cold and rain.
On September 30, Bridge Gaza field teams monitored the escalating situation in the Tal al-Dahab area in Beit Lahiya, where displaced families continue to suffer under worn-thin, deteriorating shelter conditions.
Now, another severe weather front is expected this week.
We cannot wait for another catastrophe to unfold before we begin preparing. Families urgently need shelter that can withstand heavy rain before the storms hit.
Our team is actively procuring shelter materials in bulk:
Waterproof Tarp: ~$62
Heavy-Duty Tent: ~$150
(Note: All itemized costs and shelter distribution budgets include the mandatory 11% banking commission required to execute funds directly on the ground in Gaza).
Your support turns into immediate protection for families facing another harsh winter in displacement. We need to act now before tents collapse and belongings are ruined. by @bethebridge.gaza

We have seen this before: the rain comes, tents collapse, families wake up soaked, and only then does the world react.
Not this winter.
Years of relentless rain, wind, and scorching summer heat have left tents across Gaza worn thin and falling apart. More than 65% of displaced households are still living in torn tents or makeshift shelters with almost no protection from the elements.
Bridge Gaza is taking action right now to prepare our communities before winter conditions worsen. We are securing heavy-duty tents, waterproof tarps, and warm blankets in bulk to get them directly into the hands of families across the camps before children, the elderly, the sick, and the injured are left trying to survive freezing nights in flooded shelters.

Trucks that enter Gaza are either humanitarian or commercial. Only approximately 30% of the agreed-upon number of trucks have entered since the ceasefire agreement.
Food does enter Gaza commercially, but for many displaced families, the prices of nutritious fruits and vegetables remain completely out of reach. Families are forced to prioritize whatever they can afford, often sacrificing the essential foods their bodies need most to stay healthy.
Bridge Gaza works directly to bridge this critical gap. During a recent field distribution, our teams provided 75 fresh vegetable parcels to displaced families in Al-Awawa Camp in Al-Zawaida Al-Bahr. At a cost of nearly $20 per parcel, each box was packed with fresh staples — including tomatoes, potatoes, garlic, shabra, peppers, carrots, eggplant, lemons, and onions. The total distribution cost was $1,364, which includes the mandatory 11% banking commission required to transfer and deliver funds directly onto the ground.
For these families, this was fresh, nutrient-rich food they otherwise could not have afforded to purchase in local markets.
Humanitarian support should not only fill stomachs. It must provide genuine nourishment, dignity, and the physical strength to survive these ongoing, impossible conditions.
