On the latest episode STEPHANIE regales us with a story of Anita Bryant, the amateur songstress, professional bigot and season-less home chef who did awful things and was punished. If you asked her, she was the victim, of course😂

Bryant became one of the first despicable people to be publicly to be rightfully "pied" as a political act.

During a television appearance in Iowa on October 14, 1977, Bryant had a pie thrown in her stupid hatin ass face by Thom L. Higgins. A bad bitch and a national hero.

Many accounts online say Anita Hill was “assaulted” with a pie. If anyone deserves a pie to the face back then, it was her.

We said HA HA! Tune in to hear the scandalous story of her rude and fall from grace as a result of her advocating anti-gay laws around the county.

Because this is not the first time conservatives have sought to ban cross-dressing and gender-non confirming folx with trash laws.

Imagine?! Discriminatory laws in the US and the A?!

Tune in to hear, TUX, in honor of Pride, sheds a light on Masquerade Laws.

Laws criminalizing cross dressing and weaponizing the police against queer people are certainly nothing new. There are so many images of people being arrested for wearing the “wrong” clothing over the past 150-200 years, that it was difficult to choose which ones to share in this post.

The conservative narrative surrounding all the recent drag bans and bills restricting the existence of trans people is that the public visibility of drag and non-traditional gender expression is a new and dangerous phenomenon that will taint the minds and bodies of young people. They would have us believe that exposure to queer culture encourages queer feelings and lifestyles, despite the fact that queer people have blossomed out of exclusively hetero spaces since the dawn of time.

In honor of Pride, Tux sheds a light on the fact that cross dressing and non-traditional forms of gender expression have been visible to the public for a VERY LONG TIME. So visible in fact, that in the mid-1800s cities and states across the country passed countless cross-dressing bans and Masquerade Laws to criminalize alternative gender expression just like they’re doing today.

It is certainly disheartening and scary, but please know that we’ve been through this before and we’re better for it today because we know how to fight these laws. We’ve gotten them overturned before and we can and will do it again.
