When the mind feels busy and thoughts keep coming, finding a moment of calm isn’t always easy. Paramahamsa Vishwananda introduces mantra chanting as a simple way to begin bringing more focus to the mind.

By gently repeating a mantra with attention, we can practise bringing our awareness back whenever the mind wanders. You don’t need any previous experience to start.

Just take five minutes, breathe gently, and repeat:

Sri Vitthala Giridhari Parabrahmane Namaha

For anyone who can’t see the light inside them ✨

“Why does the corn become popcorn?” Guruji asked in the kitchen, while they were making popcorn. One drop of water you don’t see makes it pop. In the same way, the soul is inside of you, but you don’t see it. Turn your gaze inward, says Sant Paltu.

If someone you love can’t see the light inside them, send them this.

Three books, three ways to meet the Divine Mother 📖

1️⃣ Divine Mother: a Guruvakya, “the Guru’s word”, for every day of the year

2️⃣ Maha Lakshmi: mantras and prayers to come closer to Her

3️⃣ Navaratri: Her nine forms, to go deeper

Which one feels like yours right now? We’d love to hear 🙏

And if you can’t choose, all three are together in the Divine Mother bundle. Tap the photos in this carousel to find the link to each book, or visit bhaktishop.com, link in bio.

Bhakti Marga UK had the pleasure of being part of Celebrating Life & Divinity with Mohanji in London, an inspiring occasion hosted by Mohanji Foundation UK. We were grateful for the opportunity to offer kirtan and share the uplifting vibrations of devotional music with everyone present.

It was lovely to experience the coming together of two spiritual organisations, creating a space for connection, inspiration and exchange.

Our spiritual journey begins long before we meet the Satguru.

Paramahamsa Vishwananda reminds us that the attitude and intention we carry along the way shape our experience. Whether approaching Darshan or taking a step on the spiritual path, what we bring in our hearts matters.

In this episode, I tackle a rising issue in the West, namely, that of a sharp increase in vitriol and hate directed at Hindus and Indians on social media and the real-world consequences it is beginning to lead to.

When the Hindu community is attacked, the immediate human instinct is to retaliate and protect ourselves. The issue is that if this is not done in an intelligent and considered manner, the situation can, and often does, become aggravated. I take the time to look at examples from the Mahābhārata and beyond, highlighting the subtlety of dharma, the trappings of the ego and a way forward that is as aligned with śāstra, guru and God as is possible.

Yogānanda’s father was a strict railway boss who wouldn’t give a co-worker time off to visit his guru, Lāhirī Mahāśaya. Then Lāhirī Mahāśaya appeared on the road home and asked him: “Why are you so tough on your co-worker?”

If someone you love works for a really tough boss, send them this.
