Even though urban sprint orienteering races aren’t my favourite, in recent years I’ve still been able to appreciate them, like Sunday’s race in Sant Quirze de Besora, Catalan O champ.

A small mistake at control 17

😵‍💫📹🤯 This is the face I ended up with when @eliot_retulli passed me at Empedrats!

When I finally reached the filming spot my DJI Ronin RS 3 Mini didn’t power up properly. 🤦‍♂️

The only shot I managed to save is the one below.

Maybe it’s time to start thinking about a new gimbal? by @bielrafols

Changing plans.
One week ago it was @salomonultrapirineu . With the course modifications, we had to rethink the communication strategy and figure out how we could keep following the Salomon athletes during the race. El Niu refugie stayed the same, but we had to drop the idea of waiting for the marathon in order to secure at least one more spot.

We decided to go to Empedrats, the most technical section of the race, but we only had 1 hour and 15 minutes. So we had to sprint, but we managed to arrive just as the runners were passing. Tomorrow I’ll tell you what happened there. it was a bit of a disaster with the sony alpha camera. The learning: if it’s tecnical use the gopro!

After that, we were able to link up with Coll de Turbians, a new part of the course with magnificent views of Pedraforca, and we finally made it to the finish line. Filming five points in the 54 km ultra is not bad at all!

Then we followed the last kilometres of the women running the marathon.

@zegamaaizkorri The world’s most iconic mountain marathon already has a date for 2027: June 6th. See you there!

How long do you think you could hold @remi_bonnet ‘s world record vertical kilometer pace?

Last weekend in @salomonultrapirineu in Bagà, people were able to try it on a @kinomap app set at a treadmill with 45% incline. by @bielrafols

Félicitations @eliot_retulli , pour cette magnifique deuxième place à la @salomonultrapirineu ! 🥈

@gorbeiasuzien is a special race: landscapes, supporters, and usually plenty of mud. This year, however, for the first time I didn’t run more than 10 meters on muddy terrain, a clear sign of just how unusual this summer’s drought has been.

In contrast to the dry conditions at Gorbeia, it looks like all the rain will be waiting for us in Bagà at this weekend’s @salomonultrapirineu . Among this year’s highlights will be the Remi’s challenge with @kinomap in a treadmill: How long can you hold the @remi_bonnet ‘s Vertical Kilometer world-record pace.
Also the ‘Gran Porra’ by Genesis 2, and a strong lineup of Salomon athletes, including members of the Para Team @christophedebard_ @polmakuri_ply and @mariapetitv . Looking forward to another unforgettable weekend in the Pyrenees.
