“Simply one of the best parkour athletes in the country”- WBZ news
POSTS STORIES REELS
I had a great time at this year’s SPL! Thanks @sportparkour for hosting the greatest pk event every year. Here were my 2 runs and I ended up in 6th place; just missing out on finals. Due to a lack of training throughout the year in Florida, I was much less prepared for this SPL than the last two and really had no clue how I was going to do. I’m really happy with my performance despite getting out in semi’s. Speed had some crazy athletes this year, and I’m fine with getting out from being “not fast enough” than from making a stupid mistake. One thing I’ve noticed over the past few years is the shift towards large power movements in speed courses; an area in speed where I’m not quite at the level of my competitors (size and strength wise). After USPK I tried setting speed courses with jumps and movements closer to my max to get comfortable, but they were still much smaller than the “intended paths” of the SPL courses. There is no evidence to suggest that courses will evolve back to being in my favor which kinda puts me in a weird spot. In order to stay competitive, I’d have to seriously level up my training, lift weights, and sacrifice some of my agility for raw power, all of which will have to be done without living 20 minutes from one of the worlds best pk facilities. I really don’t see this as a productive use of my limited time, and I doubt I’d enjoy it as much as I like my normal training. I still plan on competing and giving it my all because it is a lot of fun, but I’m not quite sure if I have what it takes to get back on the podium. Not trying to complain or make excuses for my performance, just wanted to share some thoughts. Too many people to individually tag so I won’t tag anyone. Congrats to literally everyone who competed, and thank you to everyone who supported me and for making the trip awesome! by @big_will_pk
Another SPL in the books. This one certainly had us holding our breath at points but in the end, we came out safe and on top. These guys have truly built something special. The mentality, physicality, and determination to compete at the highest level are the result of years of hard work. The late night training sessions multiple times a week, the Woodward trips, UFC watch parties, lightning STICK, back alley sprint races, endless rounds of Quiplash, Full Nelsons and so much more. These guys aren’t just athletes and fellow competitors, they’re family. @big_will_pk coming back to Vancouver and reminding the world he belongs to compete with the best of the best. He may have been out sized by the competition, but he was never out worked. We are so proud. 💨 @gi0vanni.raja taking the main stage and suffering a very scary fall and injury. 7 stitches, head wrap, and the FIRST athlete to complete a finals challenge. Gave us CHILLS. We are glad you’re okay 🤕 @brandon_hooper_pk cementing himself as the benchmark for parkour skill competition. Making the hardest challenges SPL has ever had look like a warmup session back in Norton. 🏆 We have a couple more days to sleep off the weekend here in Canada but you best believe we’re bringing more Hardware back home. Thank you to everyone involved with Hub over the years: coaches, staff, families, friends, students, etc. the amazing event staff and volunteers at @sportparkour for putting on the greatest show in sports. The medic team and Canadian urgent care for taking care of our boy and reassuring us of how much of a beast he is. And the Parkour Community as a whole. Because of all of you we get to do what we love and showcase it to the world every year. Video highlights to follow. Stay tuned to Hub as we reset the clock and begin the #RoadtoSPL6 #hubptc #parkour by @big_will_pk
Will made us proud again last night. Clean run with no missed flags, executed his practiced route nearly flawless. It just wasn’t enough to squeeze into the top 5 for Finals. His 6th place finish put him just outside of contention so he now joins the Brandon support team for the Final day of competition. Dont want to pay for the stream? Go to @hubptcnorfolk today at 6pm for the watch party! Cheer on Brandon as he takes on the finals to defend his title in Skill. #hubotc #SPL5 #parkour #competition #bigwill by @big_will_pk
The Biggest Will is back! Fighting his way through the very tough speed athletes to punch his ticket into Semi-Finals. @big_will_pk put down a near flawless run and will be competing for his Finals spot tonight! Tune in at 3pm for the SPL livestream on YouTube! Let’s go Hub Bois! #hubptc #parkour #worldchampionships #SPL5 #bigwill by @big_will_pk
SPL5 is in a few days! Here are my speed runs since nationals. Tried to focus on areas I’m worse in but still happy with them despite the few stumbles. I gave myself one run for each, except for the last one (still couldn’t finish the course on my second attempt 😐). Definitely feeling less prepared than I was last year but still ready to give it my all and have fun! @hubptc @hubptcnorfolk @hubptcsudbury @sportparkour by @big_will_pk

Only .31 seconds separated first from third place on day one of the @uspka nationals - and even crazier is only .03 seconds separated @brandon_hooper_pk in 1st from @the_pk_penguin in second! THIS is why we only use laser timing gates in The Sport Parkour League. by @big_will_pk
I had a great time competing at nationals this weekend! Thank you @uspka @sportparkour and of course @hubptc for the comp. I was overall happy with how my runs went but ended up placing 3rd. Congrats @brandon_hooper_pk and @the_pk_penguin I’ll see you guys in Vancouver! by @big_will_pk
Ready for nationals 😳 @hubptc @hubptcsudbury @hubptcnorfolk by @big_will_pk
Little closer than I’d like but I managed to get first at the @uspk.northeast regional final. @sam_wise_man23 and @spar.kour are forces to be reckoned with. Looking forward to nationals with you guys! by @big_will_pk
I still got it! @hubptc @hubptcsudbury @uspka by @big_will_pk
So happy @hubptcnorfolk is open now! Can’t wait to train more over the summer. Kinda kept it light this week because my knee has been bothering me. It’s been like that for a few months and I took a break from training, which is apparently one of the worst things you can do if it is jumpers knee (which I think it is). Spl training starts soon for me. I gotta qualify with 3 other competitions before because onsites are dead. Fingers crossed the knee doesn’t mess me up. by @big_will_pk
