Expertly designed, skillfully guided, awe-inspiring and life-changing mountain bike trips for those who want to #ExperienceTheExtraordinary

POSTS STORIES REELS

While everyone else is putting their bikes away, New Zealand is warming up.

Our Middle Earth adventure starts in Queenstown with Coronet Peak shuttles, big backcountry descents and the rocky trails of Central Otago.

Then we head north to Rotorua, where giant ferns, volcanic dirt and ridiculously good forest singletrack await.

Two islands. Ten days. An excellent argument for ignoring winter.

What a trip! Hard to explain it all in just a few photos. What stands out is the good times with new and old friends. The time spent together riding and enjoying the Moroccan sights, culture and endless delicious tagines! Thank you so much for joining us in the adventure and for the guides Pierre and Mohamed for keeping us in line 🤗🤘🇲🇦
Thanks @bigmountainbikeadventures for putting together an incredible trip! Stay tuned for 2027 calendar of camps releasing shortly!

A few things worth putting on the calendar for 2027:

More singletrack in unfamiliar places.
More dinners where everyone talks about the same descent.
More stamps in the passport.
Fewer conversations that start with “we should really plan a trip sometime.”

Your future self has excellent taste. Give them something to look forward to.

A little spooky season, a lot of soul.

In Oaxaca, the end of October means something a little different. Día de los Muertos is just around the corner, and the streets come alive with marigolds, candlelight, colourful altars, and celebrations honouring those who came before us.

It's a place where the culture is as rich as the riding, and the adventures extend well beyond the trails.

We’re willing to travel a very long way to ride bikes.

But the riding better be worth it.

We want trails that feel different from home. Terrain we’ll still be talking about years later. Local knowledge that gets us somewhere we never would have found ourselves.

And preferably a very good meal waiting at the bottom.

The trails have to earn the flight.

What are you in the mood for?

The best season is the one you're riding.

What kind of tired would you like to be?

Aosta: Forearms.

Swiss Alps: Eyes. There is an unreasonable amount to look at.

Tour du Mont Blanc: Everything.

Summer in the Alps. Choose accordingly.

Let’s define a riding holiday.

Restful? Debatable.

Would we have it any other way? Absolutely not. by @bigmountainbikeadventures

It starts with looking at one trip.

Then checking a few dates.

Then casually looking at flights.

And suddenly a significant portion of 2027 revolves around riding bikes somewhere very far from home.

Seems reasonable to us. Where are you riding in 2027?

Summer in the Alps. One mountain range. Three ways to ride it.

Aosta
Choose chaos.
Rock, roots, ancient trails, huge vertical.
Stay put. Go deep.

Swiss Alps
Choose altitude.
High-alpine singletrack, lifts, glaciers overhead.
Go up. Stay up.

Tour du Mont Blanc
Choose the long way around.
France → Italy → Switzerland.
Keep moving.

Same Alps. Very different holiday. by @bigmountainbikeadventures

Seven kinds of mole.

Seems excessive until you realize this means trying all seven is technically cultural research.

One of the things we love most about travelling by bike is getting properly into a place, including whatever ends up on the table after the ride.

For World Food Day, we’re thinking about Oaxaca.

And dinner.

Some people go to Mexico to lie on a beach.

We prefer to spend the day riding bikes through the desert, then find our way to the beach.

Same destination. Slightly different priorities.

Baja, our kind of escape.
