Some insight into the two different ways I package my cookie platters when giving them as a gift. Both methods allow you to present the platter neatly without having the cookies shift around.

I have some information on my website about the packaging I use and where to get it from (link in bio). Let me know if you have any questions ☺️

A question I still get asked quite a lot is how I make my platters so the pieces fit together neatly after baking.

My top tips are;
1. Use a good no-spread Sugar Cookie recipe (a link to mine is saved in my bio)
2. Chill your dough, and freeze the pieces before trying to move them
3. Bake on a perforated baking mat for flat bottoms. Smooth tops with a fondant smoother straight out of the oven.

Hope this helps but I’m always happy to answer any other questions you may have ☺️ My Geo Cutter range is available from @customcookiecutters

Top Tip Tuesday is back…this time I’m sharing my time saving strategy for the busy festive season. I triple batch my cookie dough, roll it out into a large ziplock bag and pop it away in fridge or freezer till I need it.

If you’re a baker about to launch into one of the busiest times of year, do whatever you can to save some time and stress. Saying no when you reach your limit is also advised!

Send this to your baking bestie who might need a reminder to not burn out this year, and to try to enjoy some of the festive season too 💜

It’s Sandy Claws, here to mark the finale of spooky content for this year, and to transition you gently into the festive season 🎅🏻

I have some fun new Christmas designs coming soon that I can’t wait to share, Christmas cookie season is my favourite 💜

I start my Christmas baking in November - there are so many treats that I can prep and freeze in advance to save myself some stress.

Comment Christmas if you’d like me to share my festive baking planner with you ☺️

Have a Happy Halloween 👻

Sally is such a special character and this cookie was definitely a labour of love, but totally worth it. Did you know Sally was voiced by the iconic Catherine O’Hara? She also voiced the character Shock in the movie 💜

Hope you enjoy this timelapse creation, I love to hand model characters. Have you had a go at 2D modelling on cookies? Save this for inspo ☺️

My favourite Halloween movie (and Christmas movie too 😂) is Nightmare before Christmas. What’s yours?

I loved making this movie themed platter featuring all my favourite characters. Will share a few more in the coming days - all completely hand moulded and painted.

Save this for your Halloween inspiration- Jack is such an easy character to make without any special cutters and moulds 🎃

Are you ready for Halloween? I do love a spooky season bake and this platter is one of my all-time favourites 💀

Do you prefer a cute and spooky or a creepy Halloween vibe? I lean towards cute most of the time but feel this platter hits both in it’s own way 🎃

Save for your spooky season baking inspo ☺️

This week you get a Thursday Tutorial instead of a Tuesday Tip, because this one takes me a little longer to explain.

If you’ve ever wanted to make a cookie platter but weren’t sure how to package it, here are two options.

Drop a comment below if you have any questions about how I package my cookies, and save this for the next time you make a cookie platter ☺️

Top tip Tuesday
Sharing today one the tools in my kitchen I cannot live without - a perforated baking mat. These mats give your cookies a nice bottom and help stop spread 🫠

What’s the one tool in your kitchen you couldn’t go without?

Also, how cute are these @littlebiskut cookie skulls in Royal icing? 💀 Starting my Halloween baking early 👻

Top tip Tuesday
You all seemed to like my tip last week so I’m back with another. I spilled an unnecessary amount of food colour on myself before I learned this little hack 😅

Tell me - did you know about this trick already?
