Not all affection is true love—sometimes rushing intimacy is a major red flag. If the person you’re seeing is pushing for quick closeness, whether physically or emotionally, it’s important to slow down. Love-bombing can feel overwhelming, but it often hides a deeper motive, whether it’s manipulation or a fear of being truly known.

A mature, healthy relationship grows steadily, so stay grounded, protect your heart, and never be afraid to set the pace. Save this post as a reminder, and share it with someone who needs a truth check before rushing in.

True love is sacrificial Part 2!!

A balanced home is built by two. When husbands share the responsibilities, everybody flourishes — and the whole family wins.

What if I told you faith bought us a house? Yeah. Not the paycheck. Not the plan. Just faith.

When life wasn’t adding up, God still made a way.
That’s what happens when you trust His word and believe even when it makes no sense.

Stop comparing your journey. What looks like delay may actually be divine preparation.

Just because someone else is experiencing the very thing you’ve been praying for doesn’t mean God has forgotten about you. Your journey is unfolding according to a different timeline, and there is purpose in every stage of it.

Don’t allow comparison to rob you of the beauty of what God is doing in your life right now. Even when you can’t see the progress, it doesn’t mean nothing is happening.

Stay faithful, stay grounded, and trust God’s process. When your moment comes, you’ll realise that the preparation was just as important as the promise. by @bimbo_folaalade

You’ve asked them to put their shoes away three times. You’re running late, they’re distracted, and before you know it, you’re shouting.

Later, when everything is quiet, you find yourself thinking, “Could I have handled that better?”

So much of parenting happens in these ordinary moments. How we respond when we’re frustrated. Whether we listen before drawing conclusions. What we do after we’ve said something we wish we hadn’t.

We want our children to learn respect, kindness and responsibility. They also get to see what those things look like through us, including when we apologise and try again.

That’s something to hold on to as you think about raising exceptional children: the lessons continue long after the correction is over.

If this has given you something to reflect on, let my book, Raising Exceptional Children, be your next read. You’ll find it through the link in my bio.

Birmingham, we STILL haven’t gotten over one year of Gods goodness! 💜🔥

Because when we think about the goodness of God, what else are we supposed to do but DANCE?! 💃🏽🕺🏽

One year of His faithfulness, one year of testimonies, one year of beautiful memories and one year of doing life together as a family.

The joy was LOUD, the energy was unmatched and the celebration? We could do it all over again! 😂🔥

Birmingham, can we get an amen?!

It’s finally time to reveal our secret project!
I’m so excited to introduce you to…

🌿 THE RETREAT @ STAPLEFORD ABBOTTS
.
A little vision that has been on my husband @dr.solafolaalade and I’s heart which is finally becoming a reality.
.
We’ve both always believed in the importance of stepping away from the noise of everyday life and making intentional space to rest, reflect and spend time with God.
.
But we also know how difficult that can be when life is constantly demanding our attention.
.
So we’ve created a place for exactly that.
A beautiful, private home where you can step away, slow down and simply be.
.
✨ A place to pray.
✨ A place to journal.
✨ A place to reflect.
✨ A place to rest.
✨ A place to hear yourself think — and make room to listen to God.
.
No timetable.
No structured programme.
No pressure.
Just space for your soul and spirit.
Whether you’re coming alone, as a couple or with a small group, you’re welcome.
.
📍 Stapleford Abbotts, Essex
🗓️ Available for stays from early November 2026
.
Also, if you know someone who could benefit from a space like this, please share it with them. We can’t wait to host you!

ONE YEAR OF GOD’S FAITHFULNESS. ONE BEAUTIFUL FAMILY. SO MANY REASONS TO CELEBRATE! 🥹💚🎉

Birmingham, what a celebration! From the worship and the Word to the laughter, testimonies, embraces and moments shared, our first anniversary was a beautiful reminder of how far God has brought us.

One year ago, we began this journey. Today, we celebrate the lives touched, friendships formed, faith strengthened and community built along the way.

To everyone who has been part of this story, thank you for showing up, serving, praying and growing with us. You are part of what makes TLC Birmingham special.

365 days down. A lifetime of impact ahead!

Happy 1st anniversary, TLC Birmingham! WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED! 💚🙌

I’ve never quite understood the fascination with Halloween and the celebration of death, darkness, fear and all things sinister. How can it be seen as fun to festoon one’s home with skulls and cobwebs? Why celebrate death and turn your back on light (God) as so many in our generation are doing.

In this season, the world may be celebrating darkness. I choose to celebrate the One who conquered it. I choose faith over fear, light over darkness, and life over death.

That’s why I love what our children’s ministry is doing - instead of only focusing on what Halloween represents, we’ve created a Light Party, where kids show up as angels with sparkles, and we knock on doors to celebrate hope, not fear.

These are difficult truths, but we must be willing to speak about them: marital abuse should never be tolerated, excused, or ignored in the church.

As the clocks go back and the evenings get darker, let’s take a little trip back to the days when the sun stayed longer, the evenings felt endless, and summer felt like a dream. ☀️🌊🥂
A little throwback to sun-soaked days in beautiful Cape Town & Frranschoek, good food and moments that made summer so special. 🤍✨
.
The clocks may be going back, but at least we have memories to keep us warm until summer finds us again. 🌅🤎
What summer ☀️ memories will you be reminiscing about…
