Keeping Afoot —
I took a recovery phase after finishing the Chicago Marathon. My 13th full marathon was an extraordinarily difficult yet important memory-making experience — an empowering test of endurance, strength, and “Marathon Mindset!”
I unleashed my superpowers to overcome obstacles and cross the finish line with pride.
Truly, Chicago is a city that carries you through 26.2 unforgettable miles (29 neighborhoods), alive with nonstop energy and vitality. I will return to its most iconic streets to run it back!

I belong in California! 🌤️

On this day in 2006, my belongings were packed in fabulous Las Vegas, and I was on my way to St. Cloud for my appointment at St. Cloud State. Ooof, I miss the good times in Vegas, but I have been steadfast in building a life for myself in Minnesota for these 20 swiftly-passing years. Finding joy in the journey comes pretty naturally for me, so onward I go!!

Ran bold. Ran inspired.
Grandma’s Marathon was my 12th full marathon. Every section of the 26.2-mile course grinds me to bits, physically and emotionally — only to build me back up with even more resilience, more grit, and more pride! The marathon leaves me dissatisfied on purpose, and I wouldn’t want the experience to be any other way.
I’ll carry on…

Happy May Day! There’s a lot to love about May Day. First, a rite of spring when you live in the North is extra special. Next, rallying for workers’ rights, immigration, and democracy is vitally important. Lastly, and dear to me, my mom enjoyed May Day traditions and tulips were among her favorite signs of the season.
Here’s to solidarity and justice! 🌷🌷🌷

Happy New Year!!
“Watch out for each other. Love everyone and forgive everyone, including yourself. Forgive your anger. Forgive your guilt. Your shame. Your sadness. Embrace and open up your love, your joy, your truth, and most especially your heart.” ~ Jim Henson
Here’s to a ‘Comeback Era’ — I’m ready for it! 👊🏼
