It is just over a month to go until Folk, Bouzouki and Bellowhead legend and fellow Salopian @bk_excess comes and performs for us at Severn Folk. What is also really exciting is that Benji will be running a Bouzouki workshop for intermediate-ish players in the afternoon. Benji has recorded a short video describing what he’ll be covering in the workshop, so have a watch, grab your Bouzoukis, get them tuned to GDAD and grab your tickets for both the workshop and the concert now! Tickets for the concert and/or the workshop can be purchased from our TicketSource page (link in bio). If you are a Severn Folk member, you will need to fill in the members booking form on our website instead (link also in bio!) by @bk_excess
Well this was a bucket list gig for me. What a fantastic experience playing such a huge stage at a wonderful folk festival in Portugal. A wonderful treat to have Benji Kirkpatrick joining me on a few numbers. ❤️ Big big thanks to @costa_festival for having me along to play my songs. I am so looking forward to joining Seth and Benji to headline this evening too. As ever, thanks to @chappell.duncan for everything. Mind is blown, cup is filled. 😍⭐️ @bk_excess #americana #costafestivals #folkmusic #ukcountrymusic #portugal by @bk_excess

There is also a concert/workshop bundle discounted price, which is £18 or £16 for members. . Then we have Bouzouki genius @bk_excess Benji Kirkpatrick singing and playing us out of 2026 on the 13th of December. . Advance tickets are £12 or £11 for members. . You can grab your tickets from our Ticket Source page (link in bio) . Members will need to submit a booking form instead in order to get their discount. You can read more about it and find the link on our Ticket Source page . Tickets bought on the door will be more expensive than if you buy beforehand, so please do consider buying your tickets early. A new year, and time for a new #bandsinthebuggy - this time some bouzouki tunes with @bk_excess Three fun facts about the bouzouki: 1. They originate from Greece 2. They are commonly tuned in fourths and fifths- depending on the type and tradition 3. The bouzouki is a defining instrument of rebetiko music Did you catch Benji with James Fagan, and Jon Doran debuting their new band - ‘The Bouzouki Trio’ on the Jester Stage as the sun started to set on the Saturday of Warwick Folk Festival 2025? #bandsinthebuggy #roots #folk #warwickshire #music #livemusic #warwick #tradmusic #folkmusic #interview by @bk_excess
