I’ve spoken to so many salon owners over the last few months, and recruitment in our industry is still such a huge problem. This clip was actually filmed on the way to a business event with @haircaregroup called Unscripted, an incredible day with powerhouse educators @kt_tognini @telleish_hair_studio , real talk, and so many lightbulb moments. We were just having chats on the way there (and back), and thought, why not film a few raw convos? But tell me, if you were looking for a job, would you check a salon’s Instagram to suss out the culture before you apply? Because I would. Every time. Salon owners, how are you feeling about recruitment right now? Are you finding it hard to attract the right people? Let’s have an open, honest conversation. The industry is shifting, and we need to evolve with it. Also, massive shoutout to these barbers. @blackfox__barbers I need you guys to go check them out. I know we’re not barbers, but I’m not even looking at technique I’m looking at vibe. Energy. Culture. They’ve nailed it: • All barbers front and centre in their Highlights • Super on-brand • Inclusive, community-focused, and just good energy If you need inspiration on how to show up online as a team, this is how you do it. Drop the @ below if you’ve seen another salon or barber shop absolutely nailing their online culture. Let’s learn from each other. 👇🏼 by @blackfox__barbers
