OK but these are ADDICTIVEEE - proceed with caution ⚠️ Shanghai butter mochi/ butter tteok - one of the very few viral recipes that has actually made it into my regular rotation 😂 I made these on a Saturday night because I wanted something sweet and buttery and the craving needed to be dealt with immediately (iykyk) also I made them while watching a webinar because apparently doing one thing at a time is not for me. 💀 Even better, they're still crunchy the next day. just 5–10 sec in the microwave and they're back. comment RECIPE and I'll send you the recipe I use straight to your DMs 🤎 by @blissfulbites_za

I’ve got our plans sorted for the end of November, and you’re coming with me! 🍴👀 @tasteof_capetown is cominngg! Imagine spending the day eating your way through 12 restaurant kitchens, discovering signature dishes, meeting the chefs behind the food and trying exclusive creations made just for the festival. All in one place. Now that’s my kind of day. I’m especially looking forward to seeing what Shaun Scrooby brings to the table with VUUR (flambadou, anyone??) 🔥 The exclusive dishes have me VERY curious. Once this festival is over, they’re gone, so this is your chance to try something truly one-off. 📍 Green Point Cricket Club, Cape Town 📅 28 & 29 November 2026 Tickets are on sale now! Grab yours through the link in bio @tasteof_capetown and come eat your way through the festival with me. by @blissfulbites_za
if someone made me this, i think i’d fall in love. 🤎 dark chocolate mousse, honey salted caramel with flaky sea salt, and a chocolate shell that cracks when you get your spoon through it. it’s a little extra effort, but damn, is it worth it. P.s. I have 4kg of 100% cacao choc so to start using it up I used 100% cacao choc so I had to adapt the recipe but the recipe on my blog is for 50-70% choc as I know not everyone has 100% cacao. Inspired by @cameron_addison 🙏❤️ comment RECIPE and i’ll send you the link. by @blissfulbites_za
TURKISH BAZAAR LAMB KOFTAS 🥙🔥 Juicy lamb koftas cooked over hot coals and tucked into warm flatbreads with fresh salad and a lemony garlic yoghurt sauce. For the lamb koftas: • 500g lamb mince • 3 tbsp Spice Excellence Turkish Bazaar dry spice • 1 small onion, finely grated or blitzed in a food processor, about ¼ cup • 1 garlic clove, minced • 1 tbsp olive oil • ¼ cup ground pistachio nuts, optional For the lemon garlic yoghurt sauce: • ½ cup plain yoghurt • 1 garlic clove, finely grated • 1½ tbsp lemon juice • ¼ to ½ tsp salt, or to taste To serve: • Lebanese flatbreads or pita breads • Rocket or baby leaf lettuce • Tomatoes, sliced • Red onion, finely sliced • Fresh coriander Method: 1. If using wooden kebab skewers, soak them in hot water for at least 1 hour. You can also leave them soaking overnight. 2. Add the lamb mince, Turkish Bazaar spice, onion, garlic, olive oil and pistachios to a bowl. Mix really well until everything is evenly combined and the mixture becomes slightly sticky. 3. Take roughly ⅓ cup of the lamb mixture per skewer. Shape it firmly around the skewer into a long kofta, pressing gently so it holds together. 4. Braai over hot coals for approximately 5 minutes per side, turning carefully, until browned and cooked through. 5. For the sauce, stir together the yoghurt, grated garlic, lemon juice and salt. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. 6. Warm the flatbreads briefly, then layer with rocket or lettuce, tomatoes, red onion and fresh coriander. Add the hot lamb koftas and generously drizzle over the lemon garlic yoghurt sauce. Best eaten straight off the braai while everything is still warm 🔥🥙 Our products feature a 100% clean label, meaning they contain zero colourants, flavourings, preservatives, or artificial additives. what happens when a lamington and a hertzoggie have a baby? 👀 I made these for heritage day on @expressoshow , and I’m still thinking about how well these two belong together. there’s something about apricot jam and coconut that just feels so familiar, and the rooibos syrup takes it somewhere completely different. the cake soaks up all that lovely, fragrant tea, the apricot gives you a little sweetness and tang, and the toasted coconut brings that nutty crunch. I’m rather pleased with this one, actually. a word to the wise: use a knife and cut these into squares. I got ambitious with a flower cutter, and let’s just say those 15 minutes could have been spent doing literally anything else. 😂 comment RECIPE and I’ll send it straight to your DMs! also, are we claiming these as South African or are the Australians going to come for me? 🇿🇦🇦🇺 by @blissfulbites_za

what makes a great pizza? 👀🍕 one thing I loved about @cafe_28_inanda was seeing how much care goes into the ingredients. From the flour to the tomatoes to the anchovies - everything is sourced from a small town in Italy. Alsooo - cheese. Proper cheese, not that dry, pre-grated mozzarella bs. 😂 As someone who loves good food, I appreciate those little details, and you can taste the difference. It feels like a little escape from the city, and I can see myself spending a long afternoon here with family, friends overlooking the golf course. Save this for your next long lunch in Sandton, and take someone who appreciates a REAALLYY good pizza. 🍕🤍 P.s. Save room for dessert! 🍨 📍Cafe 28, Sandton by @blissfulbites_za
