Matcha looks good by the bay. We’re back at The Matcha Collective, this time at Ayala Malls Manila Bay! 📍 Ayala Malls Manila Bay 📅 October 16–18 Our only pop-up this month. No pressure, but this is your only chance to see us in October. 💛 #matcha #matchapopup #block6cafe by @block6cafe
Hi! We’re turning 5 next month🖐️ Block 6 Cafe might be small and humble but everything we do is intentional, from our intimate corners to every item on our menu. We’re slow but steady, we move at our own pace just as how we imagined and wanted it to be. We’re still here after 5 years and none of this would be possible without you, especially those who’ve been with us since day one. Thank you for letting us be a place you can come back to again and again, just like home. See you at our open house starting February 7th. - Block 6 Cafe 💛 by @block6cafe

Hello! Closing early today (swipe to see Betty 🐾) by @block6cafe
The Matcha Collective 🍵🧡 by the @themodernmarket.ph 💚 at Ayala Malls Manila Bay! I tried the Matcha Egg Brulee 🥚 of @thehakucafe.ph by @krisnslo , Sticky Rice Matcha 🥭 of @block6cafe by @rizzymatcha , Kumo Cha 🍡 by @kaori___coffee , and Caramiso Matcha Latte 🍮 of @hoshihouse.cafe by @matccching . I wanted to work that weekend because I desperately wanted to try Haku’s Matcha Egg Brulee because I keep seeing posts about it in socmed 🤣. The brulee itself was gently sweet and creamy. It was so good to eat it while sipping the matcha 😩. The matcha itself had dark chocolate notes with a whiff of floral and was balanced in terms of umami, which paired well with the topping 😋. Glad to say that my craving got satisfied 😍! While exploring the various booths, Block 6’s Sticky Rice Matcha caught my eye 😱. I love anything mango, especially with Matcha so I immediately bought one to try 😛. The add-ins were so clever! The mango compote perfectly substitutes the sticky rice as it had the texture and was moderately sweet ☺️. The matcha itself was softly nutty and umami with a hint of astringency. Mixing everything just leveled up the seaweed like umami 😚! I was also intrigued by our booth neighbor, Kaori, as their exclusive drink included a mochi like add in. 🧐 So I ordered Kumo Cha to try and I was not disappointed. The Matcha itself had some slight nuttiness to it with a creamy mouthfeel as well as a touch of bitterness 💕. It complimented the “liquified” mochi as it brought out some subtle sweetness and texture to the drink ✨. Another neighbor of ours was Hoshi House, which I already tried multiple times already. I just wanted one drink from them again as I knew them to be reliable 😎. Please check out my previous review 👀! Overall, the fest was a blast 🥳. I was so happy seeing so many brands from different places come together in Manila, it just so happened that my stomach can only handle so much 😅. It was also fulfilling to be able to work with @kumatcha.co once again, allowing me to meet so many people with the same love for matcha 💚. Looking forward to another experience like this soon. #modernmarket #matchareview #matchaph #matcha by @block6cafe
