POSTS STORIES REELS

Since starting @bloodrootdiaries I have connected with so many amazing people across the world from Australia to Bosnia and Wales to USA and many places in between.

A recurring thread in these chats is that diagnostic delays are a global problem. This book is my way of trying to improve this.

Track symptoms, notice patterns, self-advocate. Present your findings with the goal of working with your clinician to find a way forward to investigations, diagnosis and treatment.

If you freeze and can't communicate effectively you can pass your pre-appointment findings and information to your doctor or specialist to read.

The quicker you can get a diagnosis and treatment, means giving yourself a better chance at saving your fertility and living a life with less pain and trauma.

I'd love for you to share this post with anyone who you think this would help.

With love & solidarity
Clare 💖✨️

If you're new here, hello. 👋🏻

I'm the person behind Bloodroot Diaries. I'm interested in people, the systems we navigate, and what happens when those systems don't listen.

I've got a degree in sociology, a counselling qualification, years of experience managing people, a wedding florist, and a slightly unhealthy appreciation for a beautiful notebook. Quite the combination, I know.

But the thread running through all of it is people. How we're treated, whose experiences are believed, and why some of us have to work so freaking hard to be taken seriously.

After spending 20 years trying to get answers about my own endometriosis, I became increasingly interested in the bigger picture. Not just the symptoms, but the conversations, assumptions and systems that can leave patients feeling dismissed.

That experience led me to create BELIEVED, my guided endometriosis self-advocacy journal. It's also the beginning of something bigger.

Bloodroot Diaries is where patient advocacy meets practical tools, a little sociological curiosity, and the belief that we can challenge the way these conversations happen.

I'm not here to tell anyone to think positively, push through or become their own medical expert just to get someone to listen.

I'm here to help people feel better prepared, ask better questions and have more informed conversations about their health.

And if we can do that with beautiful, slightly boujee journals along the way? Even better, right? 🖤

So, if you're interested in endometriosis, adenomyosis, FND, patient advocacy or simply questioning why healthcare conversations happen the way they do, you're in the right place.

I'm glad you're here.

In my last post I shared my experience of seeing a womb witch. Here are her details.

@talitha.joyyy
https://www.talithajoy.com/

She is Glasgow based for womb work but offers other services online and elsewhere. She also comes with a ton of qualifications for this work.

She came highly recommended to me and I'm so grateful to have experienced so much pain relief this week.

I love trying alternatives to pain killers and this time it was worth it.

I'm also currently trying out mugwort bath soaks which is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to warm the womb environment and ease cramping. These also seem to be working and I've just had my second box delivered. by @bloodrootdiaries

I paid for a womb witch and the results were incredible.

I'll literally try anything for pain and relaxation. So when I seen womb and massage, sign me up!! And this Glasgow based womb witches reputation is so good that a massage reiki therapist in Cuddington heard about her in Glastonbury and recommended her to me.

I've tried physio, chiropractors, massage therapy and I reckon this sacral massage lies somewhere amongst all of these.

I couldn't believe it when I stood up and couldn't feel any pain. Pure bliss.

I will share more but if you can't wait for the details comment or send me a message. by @bloodrootdiaries

My friend @scottjohnstonofficial made me this 🤣🤣🤣

When the gynaecologist tells you your textbook endo symptoms can't possibly be gynaecological, just a bad period, all in your head 🥴 by @bloodrootdiaries

Gynaecology, endometriosis specialist appointment prep.

The pain is no joke so let's get this dilated ovarian vein sorted!

The endometriosis specialists caught sight of this whilst carrying out excision surgery in April.

Do you do anything else to prep for appointments? Let me know please 🙏 by @bloodrootdiaries

What crazy med experiences have you had?
