السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته Dear Blossoms, Its been a while.. by @blossomsandbeginnings
❀ A benefit for the ones struggling ❀ understanding the obligation: یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُتِبَ عَلَیۡكُمُ ٱلصِّیَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِینَ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَتَّقُونَ ﴿ ١٨٣ ﴾ O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious) ✿ Al-Baqarah, Ayah 183 remind yourself frequently of your intentions The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, ‎إنما الأعمال بالنية Actions are but by intentions ‎ وإنما لامرئ ما نوى and each person will have the reward of that he intended ✿ Sunan an-Nasa’i 3437 and remind yourself of the reward! Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, كل عمل ابن آدم يضاعف الحسنة عشر أمثالها إلى سبعمائة ضعف. Every good deed of the son of Adam would be multiplied, a good deed receiving a tenfold to seven hundredfold reward. قال الله عزّ وجل إِلاَّ الصَّوْمَ فَإِنَّهُ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ يَدَعُ شَهْوَتَهُ وَطَعَامَهُ مِنْ أَجْلِي لِلصَّائِمِ فَرْحَتَانِ فَرْحَةٌ عِنْدَ فِطْرِهِ وَفَرْحَةٌ عِنْدَ لِقَاءِ رَبِّهِ ‏.‏ وَلَخُلُوفُ فِيهِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ Allah عز وجل has said, With the exception of fasting, for it is done for Me and I will give a reward for it, for one abandons his passion and food for My sake. There are two occasions of joy for one who fasts, joy when he breaks it, and joy when he meets his Lord, and the breath (of an observer of fast) is sweeter to Allah than the fragrance of musk. ✿ Sahih Muslim And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, إن في الجنة باباً يقال له الريان، يدخل منه الصائمون يوم القيامة. In Paradise there is a gate which is called Rayyan through which only the people who fast would enter on the Day on Resurrection. لا يدخل معهم أحد غيرهم None else would enter along with them. يقال: أين الصائمون فيدخلون منه. It would be proclaimed: Where are the people who fast that they should be admitted into it? فإذا دخل آخرهم أغلق فلم يدخل منه أحد And when the last of them would enter, it would be closed and no one would enter it. ✿ Sahih Muslim ❀ admin: @itscloeann How are you feeling? How is your Ramadan going? by @blossomsandbeginnings
In the early days of Islam, it was a regular, daily occurrence to have Muslim converts. Our history dictates that Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) was the first man to accept Islam, one of the Prophet’s ﷺ closest companions, but the very first person to believe in the Prophet ﷺ in the beginning, before receiving revelation, was his wife Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her). ❀ In 2023 the global population of Muslims exceeded 2 billion, and throughout history there has been a slow but steady increase in the Muslim population with occasional bolstering numbers in certain areas of the world. Did you know, though, that the majority of Muslim converts are women? ❀ Studies vary in showing these numbers accurately, but one thing is for certain; in North America, where our organization was founded in, we will continue to face a growing number of women converting to Islam, and with that comes a growing need for advocacy and support. Some mosque associations have excellent committees tasked with education for non-Muslims around us, and you can imagine that with such strong dawah efforts and the less intentional, never-before-seen rates of non-Muslims being exposed to Islam through social media, we are tasked with a potential catastrophe if we, as Muslims, stand idly by when we could be helping in small, and large, ways. ❀ So this is our *why*. We’re rooted deeply in our hope to show up in all of the ways needed, for our sisters. Because if not now, then when? And if not us, then who? We’re making it a personal responsibility to do what we can, and trust that our Rabb has our back. ❀ admin: @chronically.muslim #reverts #muslimwomenlead #muslimwoman #converttoislam #muslimwomenconnect by @blossomsandbeginnings
﷽ Introducing Blossoms & Beginnings a non-profit upon the Qur’an and Sunnah with reverts at heart 🤍 We (a small but mighty group of sisters) have been working hard on delivering something special to you all and we ask Allah to facilitate and accept this from us! ❀ from us, to us! by @blossomsandbeginnings
Picture this: You just became Muslim, and took your shahada. Whether it was in public or in private, you felt an all-encompassing sense of belonging and love from those who hear about it. For a time, you feel like you’re on cloud nine! However, as time slowly passes, your circle begins to become ever so smaller, along with your imaan. What would you do? ❀ When Allah plants the seed of imaan in your heart, it can feel like it takes forever to sprout. Day and night, whether it’s the holy month of Ramadan or another month in the year, we never stop growing. Doing this alone is completely possible, but we are called an ummah - a living, breathing body of one - for a reason. Having someone lend a helping hand to nurture, feed, and protect it is especially a part of what makes Muslim sisterhood so strong. Here at Blossoms & Beginnings we take our roles as gardeners very seriously! We recognize that the sun, the rain, and the soil all come from Allah, but we have to know how to use it, and just as Allah gives us each a gift, it is up to us to use it for the greater good. ❀ As a nonprofit organization rooted in Islamic practice, what we produce out of our gardens will always be for the greater good and not for sole, independent gain. Our responsibilities come from Allah, and our roles in this organization are an individual amannah for each of us to treat it with care. Blossoms & Beginnings offers a full-bodied and catered approach to care for revert and convert women, crossing geographical, cultural, and situational barriers to lend a helping hand to Muslim women in need. ❀ May Allah accept our efforts and good deeds, and may it weigh heavily on our mizaan. ❀ admin: @chronically.muslim #muslimwomenconnect #revertstoislam #convertstoislam #fortheummah #muslimwomeninbusiness #revertmuslim by @blossomsandbeginnings
