BIG ANNOUNCEMENT — WE’RE MOVINGGGG!!!

June is @makeupbyanaisv & I’s last month @poshbeautyloungesj 💔

It’s been a long, beautiful ride 🥹 Working @ Posh allowed us to meet @annietheus, one of the greatest friends we could’ve ever asked for. It’s a bittersweet feeling leaving because we all have the best chemistry with one another & going to work has never felt like actual work knowing we’re gonna see our clients & one another 👯‍♀️💃 👈🏾 (Anais)

With that being said though, we are SO excited to embark upon this new journey righhhttt next to each other 🎉 Look out for the rebrand of Getglambylatte & MakeupbyAnaisV ✨ by @bls.beautybar

I wanted to pop in here & introduce myself rq to my follower that don’t know the face behind the business because you may have not been serviced by me (yet 😉) or we may not have gotten a chance to get to know each other

Helloooo 👋🏾 I’m Melate (May-lot). Born & raised in Ethiopia but have been living in the Bay long enough to call myself a Bay native 🤪

I’ve been a licensed Cosmetologist & working in the industry for over 6 years now. I specialize in Sugaring, Lash Extensions & Lash Lifts.

I love what I do & who I do it with, hence the 2nd slide 💕

If you come to get serviced with me, you can expect to see one or both of the girls on my 2nd slide. They are my counterparts at the shop I work at (@poshbeautyloungesj)

I was going to post a “professional” picture of the 3 of us but I wanted to go with a rl pic of us spending time together outside of the shop because although we are coworkers, we happen to be best friends as well 💁🏾‍♀️

So when you come in to get serviced, you can expect to hear a whole lotta shit talking. It’s like walking into a girl version of a Barber Shop with less yelling and more substance lol.

But most importantly, you will feel the camaraderie between not only the 3 of us but our clients.

As for you, my potential client(s), I can promise you that no matter how long or short your apt may be, asides from sending you off lookin like like a bad b, I hope to make you feel heard. I hope to make you feel accepted for however you come. & most importantly, I hope you feel a sense of belonging cuz I’m definitely a girls girl. Or a man’s girl. Or a they/them’s girl. Period lol

😘🫂

Xoxo,
Melate

P.S. please don’t expect to see the girl in this pic @ the shop lol. The girl in the pic only looks like this on the weekends IF THAT LOL. I’m sure my regulars are wondering who the girl in this pic is too 🤣😂

I can’t believe people trust us w/their coochies lmaoooo by @bls.beautybar

LMAOOOO I’m ngl! I can see myself slappin this little Ai jam 💀

Honestly, I love my clients DOWN! Some wilder than others forsure 💀 but everyone contributes to making my job so fun 😂😭& not feel like WORK. Sometimes I’m like wow. I can’t believe I get paid for this. I love my life 🙌🏾 Built this tribe of mine brick by brickkkk 🎯

Grateful to have attracted the most unique bunch of individuals I get to call my clients, regulars & friends 🥹 by @bls.beautybar

You didn’t book this for him… you booked it for YOU 😌

Because that beard has been doing the absolute most — scratchy, irritating, and lowkey disrespectful.

Beard waxing = smoother skin, cleaner finish & it doesn’t grow back the next day 🎉

Translation:
• no more irritation
• fewer ingrowns
• softer regrowth over time

Girls … take control of the situation.

Book his appointment for him (he’ll thank you later):

😭🤣😭😭🤣😭😭 she was the perfect person to do this prank on 💀💀💀

Tip of the day - Proper lash cleansing removes buildup so your extensions actually LAST. This is why my clients’ retention eats every time 👌🏾 & no. I don’t drown them all in micellar water because most of them use my whipped lash cleaner & it keeps those lashes squicky cleannn 🧼

Available for purchase @ the suites 💋

POV: I said ‘wait 24 hours after your Brazilian’… and yall heard blah blah blah hekdlyirkfmsowje 😭 No but fr, I’m sickkkkk of yall!

I get it, I dooo
… BUT your skin doesn’t 🧐

Right after sugaring your pores are open + your skin is extra sensitive.

Too much friction too soon = risk for irritation, bumps, and ingrowns 🥲

If you want that smooth, clean, long-lasting result…
give it 24 hours sister girl. Your future self will thank you 🤪

Ready for your own fresh, silky result (and the aftercare talk you might ignore 👀)?

Book your Brazilian at BLS Beauty Bar — link in bio or comment “link” & I’ll send it over to you 💕

Something about looking at the roots you just removed that gives you that 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ feeling lmaooo maybe it’s just me 🤣

Those bulbs you see = roots removed cleanly.
Clean pull = smoother skin + slower regrowth.

Your razor could never so STOP PLAYING YOURSELF AND RUSH OVER TO MY SITE to get your cooter snatched lol

Fun fact: staying relaxed reduces discomfort by up to 40% (yes, science 🤣)

Sugaring + breathing + me = the smoothest, easiest Brazilian of your life 🍯

Ready to try an ALL NATURAL, cleaner, less painful hair removal method?

Wispy Hybrid Set 💋

I’m gonna start posting more pics 🙌🏾 Ever since IG started to only really push reels, I stopped posting pics of my work altogether. Additionally, VIDEO EDITING IS TIME CONSUMING AS ACTUAL HELL lol so trying to be consistent whilst trying to ONLY post reels is too damn stressful lol. So instead of not posting at allll lol ima do a little bit of this, a little bit of that

Dassall 😂😘

Straight or downward lashes? Meet your match! A Korean Lash Lift is a glueless lash lift method that lifts from the root & conditions every lash with keratin. No mascara. No extensions. Just your lashes — longer, healthier, and perfectly lifted 👑

If you’ve ever gotten a regular lash lift done before & think a Korean Lash Lift will probably yield the same results, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Think of a regular lash lift as an iPhone 7 & a Korean Lash Lift as an iPhone 16 Pro 📈

The best part — this one hour service lasts up to 8 weeks!! 🥳 It’s the perfect service for women or men with a busy lifestyle that want that classic set look without the upkeep of lash extensions
