We got a mail! That's right, we got an official selection for another festival and this is our first selection this year. Big ups to the entire team and as our Producer/Director @anieeessien always says, "May God's hands never depart from us." by @bluehousepictures
The Lord's Manor made it big! We were officially selected and screened at @afriff last year. Dreams really do come true and we're thankful for how far we've come. We've still got a long journey ahead, but this kind of recognition keeps us pushing forward and believing! #THELORDSMANOR #BlueHouseFilms #ShortFilm #festivals by @bluehousepictures

What if we told a story about our history that made us look at ourselves honestly;not just at what was done to us, but at what we did to each other? Forgive Thy Fathers is a Nigerian short film that brings together three mediums <film, stage, and radio >to explore the weight of inherited pain and the possibility of collective reckoning. When a weary young man in the present encounters a 19th-century sailor’s monologue about slavery and survival, centuries collapse into a single moment of confrontation. We selected this film because it asks the question Africa needs to keep asking: what do we owe each other across generations? Written, directed and produced by @anieeessien & @bluehousepictures Vol. 5 · Block One: “Dear,” · November 14th · Baraza Media Lab · Tickets in bio #minimoviemarathon #shortfilms #africancinema #shortfilmfestival by @bluehousepictures
Coming to Mini Movie Marathon Vol. 5: FORGIVE THY FATHERS 🎬 Spanning two timelines, Forgive Thy Fathers follows a weary young man in the present whose encounter with a 19th-century sailor’s story forces him to confront questions of history, inherited trauma and forgiveness. Written and directed by @anieeessien & @E.T. Ekere, the 10-minute Nigerian short moves between film, stage and radio to explore the ways the past continues to shape us — and what it might take to break the cycle. A film about history, identity, unity and the things we choose to carry forward. @bluehousepictures Watch the trailer. Then come sit with the film. 📍 @barazalab_industrialarea, Nairobi 📅 November 14, 2026 🎟️ Tickets are available via the link in our bio. @mookh.africa Want to know more about the film and the story behind it? Capitol Film Fest is more than just entertainment, networking and fun. It's also educational, inspirational and filled with eye opening conversations that affect creatives in all industries across the artistic communities in Abuja and beyond. At the last edition of Capitol Film Festival that happened in December, 2025 we were privileged to have an excellent and versatile filmmaker in the person of @anieeessien grace our stage as a panelist and here's a taste of some of his inspirational words and moments for your viewing pleasure. This should be a clear sign as to why you cannot afford to miss Capitol Film Fest The IV happening this year in no distant time. As we await the biggest gathering of film lovers in North Central Nigeria, please engage on this post and help us spread the word that this year's festival will be even bigger, better and filled with more exciting moments. It was an honor to have you Aniee and thank you for always reminding us that Nollywood makes great films that are worth watching and that indie filmmakers can thrive from wherever they are at! #capitolfilmfest #thegreatestcollective #indiefilm by @bluehousepictures
