After a 20 YEAR engagement this bride knew EXACTLY what she wanted!!
It also involved an aisle walk with a first for us!!😃
This couple fell in love with our violin & cello string duo & we performed in the iconic Westminster Room at The Old Marylebone Town Hall for their ceremony & then on to the stunningly gorgeous Apollos Muse at Bacchanalia in Mayfair for their reception. Check out the ornate & stunning private reception room with their long dining table perfectly set for their guests along with miniature tambourines to welcome the couple!

And as to the first?! The bride asked us to collaborate with a ballet dancer who opened the wedding ceremony with a beautiful routine down the aisle ❤️
An absolute treat to work with Nikki from @hire_a_dancer to ensure we could bring the bride’s dream wedding to life.
Check out the reel to see Nikki when she joined us at the reception venue 👌🩰🧑‍🩰

Yolanda & Roy - a little glimpse of their story 🤍

When Yolanda & Roy approached us to capture their civil wedding, they also had an idea: to revisit the long-distance chapter of their relationship.

They first met as undergraduates in Shanghai 🇨🇳, before heading to the US together for postgraduate studies 🇺🇸. During the pandemic, their paths took them to different countries: Roy stayed in the US to work, while Yolanda returned to China for work. Roy then moved to the UK in 2021 🇬🇧, and Yolanda finally joined him in 2024.

After their civil wedding at Old Marylebone Town Hall, we spent a whole day filming around London, visiting corners of the city that held memories for them.

We recreated moments from Roy’s time in London on his own. For Yolanda’s scenes, we found places that could just as easily have been Shanghai as London, bringing their two worlds into the same film. 🤣

Together, we revisited a few small moments from that chapter, weaving those memories into a film celebrating where their story has brought them today.

The full film will stay private, but we’re so grateful to them for letting us share this little teaser. We loved creating something so personal with them, and hope this glimpse gives you a little feeling of their story.
