POSTS STORIES REELS
Every couple builds a life together differently. For many, that means buying a home, raising children, climbing the career ladder or saving for retirement, with the occasional vacation along the way. But instead of a more traditional route, @bmorenomadic creator Kristin and her partner Xavier have built a shared life around multiple travel sabbaticals 🗺️ Over more than a decade, freedom, flexibility and the shared experience of exploring the world together have become the foundation of their relationship. 🔗 See the link in our bio to read their full story. #travelsabbatical #travelcouple #sabbatical #sabbaticaltravels #workandtravel by @bmorenomadic
Finally getting around to sharing some pics from the @usnavyblueangels at the @sail250mdairshowbaltimore in Baltimore last weekend. I was just shooting with a lowly 200mm lens, but these guys fly impressively low to the ground! Impressive technology + mad skills! (But I didn’t love the air pollution!) by @bmorenomadic

I got a new (to me) camera and I have been making a point of going out every day to shoot! It has been grey and rainy here on the NH seacoast, inspiring me to go for a minimalist vibe in my edits. 📷 What do you think? by @bmorenomadic
When you get up at the crack of dawn, take a long and bumpy bus ride, and haul yourself up a mountain, you expect some kind of reward, right? Yeah. Sometimes you really don’t get what you came for. It might not look great on Instagram but there is a certain beauty in these experiences as well. More opportunity for introspection. More wondering. Should I do a Part 2, for the times when the views actually did deliver? #Hiking #views #fog by @bmorenomadic
The bar scene in Mexico City is hopping! From speakeasies to bars with views, and pre-Hispanic themed and agave forward cocktails, there’s something for everyone (mocktails too!) Creative mixology plus fresh ingredients make for some memorable sips. But you need to book ahead for the most popular spots - does that take the fun out of it? Tag a friend for a night on the town in CDMX! #mexicocity🇲🇽 #CDMX #50bestbars by @bmorenomadic
Aaargh. There are so many amazing places I want to go back to…and so many places I haven’t been! It’s tough to decide. So I usually end up mixing it up. Visiting my favorite spots (hello Mexico!) and trying to explore new places. But then I only end up with new old favorites I want to revisit 🤣 Anyone else riding this struggle bus? What would you do? (Also just grateful to have the opportunity and relative freedom to travel almost anywhere) by @bmorenomadic
No shade on the party scene in Xochimilco – it can be super fun out there cruising the canals with a good group of friends, listening to the mariachis. But it’s a bit chaotic, and you don’t get a sense of the true origins of the chinampas – the original “floating gardens” of Xochimilco. The chinampas are man-made islands, built up on the shallow lake beds of Xochimilco. The Aztecs formed these islands by braiding reeds and placing them in plots underwater to collect sediment and plants, gradually building up a base of nutrient-dense soil above ground. They would then plant their traditional crops of corn, beans, squash, tomatoes and chili peppers and feed the whole city. There are far fewer working chinampas in Xochimilco now. And it makes a much more meaningful trip to visit them while you are in Mexico City. We did a sunrise tour of the chinampas with @arca.tierra, and it was amazing! You can read about our experience at https://bmorenomadic.com/cdmx-sunrise-chinampas-xochimilco/. There are other tour operators offering similar experiences - and even sunrise kayaking! Imagine coming across this beauty while driving through the central Mexican desert countryside! Meet the Aqueduct of Padre Tembleque Hydraulic System, sitting along the border of the states of Mexico and Hidalgo, about an hour and a half north of Mexico City. The aqueduct is a feat of engineering that’s been here since the 1500s. It was built from 1555 to 1572 by Padre Tembleque and (mostly) local indigenous communities, using local techniques and materials combined with Roman-inspired hydraulic design. It’s still in amazing shape! The aqueduct was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2015 for its Outstanding Universal Value. • The full aqueduct stretches over 48 kilometers / 30 miles with canals, springs, water tanks, arcaded bridges, and reservoirs. • The main arcade peaks at about 40 meters / 131 feet. It’s tall! • This stunning section is the Tepeyahualco Ravine bridge, with 68 rounded arches in a row—so many arches you’ll lose count! I will say, it’s not easy to get to. You pretty much need a car. So you can rent a car (eek…driving in CDMX is no joke) or hire a driver. Would you visit? I’m not a big fan of donuts or churros, or fried food in general, but you have to tear me away from Churreria El Moro in Mexico City. Always fresh, eat in or take away. Can’t eat just one! They have locations in other parts of the city, but it’s always the original location for me. #mexicocity🇲🇽 #churros @churreriaelmoro Have you ever had your socks knocked off by a churro? by @bmorenomadic
