200 miles around Lake Perris, but I never took a single step alone. 💀🌼👑

Finishing the Machete Madness Día de los Muertos 200M was a full team effort, and I am so deeply grateful for the incredible village that carried me through every mile, hour, and lap.

Huge thank you to my rockstar crew—Cindy, Marly, Denise, Giselle, Lidia, Jameelah, Bere, and Jeannette—for keeping me fueled, sane, and moving forward when things got tough.

To the legend pacers who kept my feet moving through the darkest and hardest stretches:

🏃‍♂️ Hugo Tapia (Miles 100–140)

🏃‍♂️ Jose Villarreal (Miles 140–160)

🏃‍♂️ Mikey Castañeda(Miles 160–200 to the finish!)

Thank you to the entire Machete family and every single volunteer who poured their energy and heart into making this event so special. The energy out there was unmatched.

Resting up now… but I already can’t wait for next year! 🗡️✨ by @bmxboyforever

Cactus 🌵 to clouds ⛅️ was a great hike with great friends that stuck together and conquered this amazing route that is the toughest hike in America so I’ve heard. Like always good vibes and good memories. We started our hike at 12 am. We saw a Mountain lion @aihapowerjuice at mile 3. Took some naps and recovered quick. Since @snak3doc are doing 100 miles @machetetrailmadness and some of us are doing 50 miles,we have to train on our naps and time on feet. Thanks @dromeromz @tapia2003 @bmxboyforever for setting this up and guiding us. Good job to everyone that conquered. @felixmetalrocks saved me with the Broncolin cough drops. It got cold that my throat got dry since I was getting over a cold. Hope y’all liked the 🫔. Best protein bars. @heyjoe_padilla and me always arguing and fighting and joking around, made the hike much easier. Thanks to Jose and Joe for all the tips on running 100 miles for the first time. Been training with many people that have made me stronger and faster. Climbing mountains is a different level. So far this year 3 saints have men completed 🏔️ 🏔️ ⛰️… 🐐 San Antonio, San Gorgonio, San Jacinto ✅. Nothing better than hearing out a veterano for running advice el Señor Gallo 🐓 Gracias 🙏. It was fun on the way back home. by @bmxboyforever

It's been almost 2 weeks since I toed the line at my third AC100 and while the outcome, yet again, was not what I wanted; I am feeling less disappointed and more inspired by every individual who was apart of this year's race. From the crews, volunteers, and every runner who took a swing out there regardless of the result. AC100 is special because of the community that surrounds it and one that I am so grateful to be apart of.

There are absolutely zero shortcuts (except Shortcut Saddle) that you can take to finish this race. And before you can overcome any mountain, you must overcome yourself. So here's to looking towards next year's race while I do what I do best: try again. by @bmxboyforever
