What if becoming yourself isn’t about destroying who you were? For bodyimage, radical honesty is anything but gentle. On their upcoming debut album, 30 Self Inflicted Gunshot Wounds to the Head, the industrial artist confronts self-sabotage, loneliness, anger, and the terrifying vulnerability of being truly seen. With the explosive single “Leeches,” bodyimage explores the contradiction of desperately wanting love while believing you don’t deserve it. Dark. Aggressive. Uncomfortably honest. “I used to think that people were pillars of their own invention, and that we could burn those down to build something new. Now I think we’re more like blocks of marble, that can be carved away to reveal a masterpiece.” Blending industrial electronics, goth aesthetics, and dance-floor catharsis, bodyimage turns emotional darkness into a space for connection. Because sometimes healing isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about uncovering who you were all along. 30 Self Inflicted Gunshot Wounds to the Head arrives November 13.
