POSTS STORIES REELS

I joined family and friends at St. James Cathedral, Iludun-Oro, IrepodunLGA, for the burial ceremony of the late Sir Chief Joseph Tejumola Adeyemi.

Sir Adeyemi was a devoted father, a dear friend of my father, and a proud son of the soil. Beyond the solemnity of the occasion, it was a heartwarming homecoming for me, reconnecting with familiar faces and reliving cherished memories. I truly enjoyed every moment.

To the family, take comfort in knowing that Sir Adeyemi lived a good and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of love, friendship and service.

May Almighty God grant his soul eternal rest and give the family the strength to bear this loss. Amen.

The Awon Mass Wedding in Shao is a beautiful cultural tradition that has been preserved and celebrated across generations. It is a unique expression of our heritage, identity and communal values.

H.E @realaarahman has remained a strong supporter of culture, tourism and the preservation of Kwara State's rich traditions.

Each year, the experience gets even more beautiful and remarkable.

Beyond the celebration, it is a reminder that our culture is a treasure worth preserving, promoting and passing on to future generations.

We opened the doors of our Institute of Contemporary African Art and Film (ICAAF) to the public with FELA: A Retrospective — a powerful reminder that culture is our history, a magnetic force that shapes our future.

Under the leadership of H.E. @realaarahman, ICAAF represents an investment in preserving our heritage, nurturing emerging talent and creating opportunities for Kwara’s creative economy to thrive.

The legacy of Fela Anikulapo-Kuti reminds us that creativity goes beyond what we produce. It is also about the ideas we challenge, the conversations we spark and the change we inspire.

That is why we built the ICAAF, to help create the space where talent can grow, stories can be told and possibilities can become reality.

The exhibition runs until December 31, 2026, and admission is free.

After the State Executive Council meeting where we deliberated on policies and decisions aimed at strengthening governance and improving the lives of the good people of Kwara. We accompanied H.E @realaarahman, to the flag-off of another phase of agricultural support under FADAMA CARES 2.0.

This intervention will deliver 49,337 additional agricultural inputs and processing equipment, bringing the total number of beneficiaries reached to 235,567 across 10 agricultural value chains.

With support ranging from farm machinery and fertilisers to rice mills, cassava processing equipment and fisheries tools, alongside mechanisation efforts across all 16 local government areas, the goal is to help our farmers produce more, reduce losses and create greater economic value from their hard work.

I had the privilege to speak at the maiden edition of the @ilorinbusinesssummit on how the Kwara State Government is improving the ease of doing business and creating opportunities for MSMEs and the creative community.

From opening up business clusters to strengthening community-based opportunities, under the leadership of H.E @realaarahman, our focus is on creating platforms where entrepreneurs can grow, talents can flourish, and ideas can become thriving businesses.

I also joined a panel discussion on government interventions for MSMEs and the creative economy alongside @drelizabethajibola @betajollof_ @tamirahentrepreneurshipcom @olusoji_oyawoye and other distinguished voices.

My takeaway? Government must not only make policies; it must create platforms that help people turn possibilities into prosperity.

Grateful to be part of this important conversation about business, innovation and Kwara’s economic future.

Kwara State has commenced deliberations on its proposed 2027 Budget Estimates, with emphasis on fiscal discipline, prudent resource allocation and completing ongoing projects.

As the Central Budget Committee reviews submissions from MDAs, the focus remains on aligning public spending with development priorities and ensuring measurable outcomes for the people.

As Commissioner for Communications, with a multi ministry mandate and 6 revenue generating agencies under my purview, I recognise that effective governance goes beyond policy formulation. It requires accountability, strategic planning and a commitment to delivering results.

Under the leadership of @realaarahman, Kwara remains focused on consolidating achievements and building forward.
