ACOSH Release party at my favorite indie bookstore this past Tuesday! @novelfxbg did such an amazing job putting this together ! It was so magical and even more special with the special touches Andie made to make you feel welcome (as she always does) 💕

Also walked away with some TOG goodies and my Suriel cup of course 🫖☕️

My… I mean The Lady of the Autumn Court asked me to watch our…. I mean her son for the night 🤣😂

I figured the best person I could represent would be Helion due to him giving off Greek god vibes so all I had to do was ask my daughter to borrow her baby doll to make Lucien and ask my son to borrow his tan blankey 🤣

I had too much fun last night & these pics deserved their own post. My local indie bookstore did an AMAZING job bringing their ACOTAR release party to life ! (Video to come soon)

And the actual total was more lol 😂 found a few extra I forgot about… that’s over half my bookshelf I haven’t read yet.

I will still get my monthly book because I have a membership w/ @novelfxbg but other than that I’m sticking with my bookshelf at least for the rest of the year …..( audio doesn’t count though because I can get some books on hoopla for free. )😆

If you know me, you know these are probably my fav reads of all time. I cannot wait to reread them.

All recommended by different people and I am so grateful for each. I now love historical fiction, fantasy and magical realism because of these 💕

I think I read One True Loves in 1 day I have no idea what Taylor did to this book but her writing just kept pulling me in. (Also was uninterrupted by kids that day… obviously )

Red Rising will be read as soon as I finish ACOSH eeekkk 🙃🤗 by @bookedforchaos

Finished my reread of ACOTAR and unfortunately I’m in a reading funk now 😢😭

Here is my ranking though struggled with 3&4

Book Review: Saving Noah by @lucindaberryauthor
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
TW: child sex abuse, rape, suicide , other heavy topics

It’s so hard to write a review of this book because, although it’s fiction, it really makes you think about what goes on in the minds of abusers and pedophiles, as well as their parents. This was such a difficult read for me as a parent. It made me question myself and ask, What would I do in this situation? It also made me think about how quickly we judge the parents of people who commit these acts.

It’s easy to say what you would do if your child were the one who got hurt… but what would you do if your child were the one doing the hurting?

As a parent, how do you cope with that? I don’t feel sorry for Noah (though I was kind of irritated because I think the author wanted us to), but his mom? I truly hurt for her. She was judged for what her son did, even though it wasn’t her fault, and the love she still felt for him after everything he did really shows how deep unconditional love can run.

That being said, his mom didn’t want him to take any real accountability for what he did. When she started victim-blaming and then calling her son the victim, that’s when I started questioning her actions.

All in all it was a great thought provoking read that kept me engaged from beginning to end and the twist got me for sure.

I will definitely be reading more Lucinda Berry books and recommend this one to anyone who can stomach this type of content - it’s was very heavy
