Hi, I’m Anna🀍 After a long hiatus, I thought I’d take some time to reintroduce myself. I originally started this account when my family was stationed in Florida (husband was active military for 7 years) and I became a stay at home mom. I was really missing adult conversation and wanted to do something for me. With that and starting my book collection back up, bookstagram is where I landed🀍 When my husband transitioned out of the military and we moved back to my tiny hometown it was very hard on all of us. My husband experienced many of the challenges veterans do and I was a mom of a toddler and baby, working on my masters degree, and starting a job as a School Social Worker. Once we got semi settled, I tried to keep up with posting, but I didn’t have the mental energy to think of ideas and captions when it felt like I still didn’t have my life back together. Now, my husband is working as a first responder, my oldest will be in 1st grade, and my youngest is a little more independent. I’ve still been reading and I’ve missed talking about it all with you guys! I really hope I’m here to stay for awhile again and I’m really appreciative that you all stuck aroundπŸ₯° #aboutme #reader #booklover #bookish #bookaddict #bookstagrammer #booksta #readersofΓ¬nstagram #bibliophile #meetthereader #booktok #fantasybooks #romantasy #bookgirlie #bookclub by @bookish.with.anna

Game Onβ™ οΈπŸŽ I picked this one up for a quick easy pallet cleanser. I read Lights Out when it first came out and enjoyed it, so I was deciding between Game On or Caught Up. The blackmail and revenge plot was a lot of fun and I enjoyed the constant push and pull between the main characters. With that said I didn’t enjoy this one overall as much as I did Lights Out. The MMC was a little hard for me to like, which is maybe the point, but it had me not as invested in the story. I really liked how it ended with the plot twist and the MMC working to change and the happy ending! ✨Check this on out if you love: 🀍 enemies to lovers 🀍 hidden identity 🀍 blackmail 🀍 fake dating 🀍 revenge plot 🀍 brat play 🀍 he gives her a nickname 🀍 MFM spicy scenes by @bookish.with.anna
π‘…π‘’π‘Žπ‘‘π‘–π‘›π‘” + 𝐿𝑖𝑓𝑒 π‘ˆπ‘π‘‘π‘Žπ‘‘π‘’ ✨ 🀍 What are you currently reading? ✨I just finished Game On after wanting a little pallet cleanser from fantasy. I enjoyed the plot line, but I think I prefer the characters and chemistry in Lights Out. ✨Slowly but surely working my way through my ACOTAR reread. I think I’m going to put my focus into this for a few days to try and get through it, although it’s hard to read physical books with my kids aroundπŸ˜… ✨ As for a life update, this will be my fourth year as a school social worker! There was an issue in my office over the summer and I have to replace a lot of my things which has really been upsetting and stressful😭 But, I’m trying to accept it for what it is and start remaking a safe and welcoming space for my students❀️ A little sad summer is coming to an end but it’s always exciting to see them after the summer! by @bookish.with.anna
Reading Update✨ 🀍Favorite Ali Hazelwood read? I’m a little bit in a fantasy slump, so I was thinking of picking up a romance. @booksbyellen suggested something by Ali Hazelwood, so please help me decide and share your favorite by her! Also, figured it’s a good time to start one of my rereads! I decided on starting ACOTAR first. Planning to annotate this go around, so I’m excited for that! I’ve been watching all of @books_n_candy ACOTAR series recaps lately and she’s got me invested in looking a little deeper into some of the characters intentionsπŸ˜… She picks up on so much- definitely give her videos a watch if you like deep dives! Have a happy Tuesday🀍 by @bookish.with.anna
To Cage A Wild BirdπŸ¦β€πŸ”₯ I really enjoyed this one! I love a good heist plot and was super into The Hunger Games vibes! I wish it went more in depth on the characters and their backstory’s and the history of the society, but I always feel that way when I read a duologyπŸ₯² ✨Check this on out if you love: 🀍 forbidden romance 🀍 hidden identity 🀍 heists 🀍 deadly games 🀍 dystopian societies 🀍 found family 🀍 he gives her a nickname 🀍 protective FMC by @bookish.with.anna
Just a little reading updateπŸ’« ✨What’s everyone’s current read? I recently finished The Isle of Sin and Shadow and unfortunately I didn’t love it like I had hoped😭. I think maybe I just wasn’t in the mood for the dark themes as much as I thought I was when starting it. With that said I love the authors writing and all her books are a wild ride! ‼️Spoilers‼️⬇️ I’m currently 71% through To Cage a Wild Bird and I’m really enjoying the plot and The Hunger Games vibes! I wish there was a little more character development and backstory, but I always feel that way when I read a standalone or a duologyπŸ₯²πŸ˜… I also love the guard/prisoner trope! Hoping to wrap this one up today or tomorrow and then I might begin my Fourth Wing, Spark, or ACOTAR reread. Haven’t decided which one I want to start with😩 Any suggestions are welcome🀣 by @bookish.with.anna

In Stormy Weatherβ›ˆοΈ ✨Are you team classic Twister film or team Twisters with Glen Powell?πŸŒͺ️ Personally, I’m a sucker for the classics, but my husband prefers Twisters! This was the perfect summer romance read on kindle unlimited! I loved the history between the main characters and the rivals to lovers trope was so fun⭐️ I also loved having a book where the characters were in their 30’s and the fmc knew her worth🀍 ✨Check this one out if you love: 🀍 he falls first 🀍 pining/yearning 🀍 brothers best friends 🀍 close friend group 🀍 main characters in there 30’s 🀍 women in stem by @bookish.with.anna
Heartstring Duet βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈπŸ’« ✨Have you read these yet!??? ✨When I picked this up I expected a fast and fun dark fantasy romance. What I got instead blew my mind and broke my heartπŸ˜πŸ’” I have not read Court of Ravens, so I was completely awestruck when I fell into Liv Zander’s writing. I read these on Kindle Unlimited and immediately bought the physical copies and have since skimmed through both again. I want to reread these so bad already, but I also don’t know if I can ever put myself through that kind of emotional pain againπŸ₯² ✨What to expect in this duet: 🀍 banter that’s bantering 🀍 yearning 🀍 fierce fmc 🀍 emotional damage 🀍 poetic writing 🀍 plot twists 🀍 thought provoking 🀍 grief 🀍 eternal love by @bookish.with.anna
⚑️Who’s read this one??? I’ve been feeling nostalgic and inspired to read some dystopian- where it all began for many of us in our late 20’s🀣 If you’ve read this one let me know what you thought!! ✨RU: I just finished the Heartstring duet and am in mourning iykykπŸ’”πŸ’” I immediately ordered the physical books and will do a full review soon! Now currently reading The Isle of Sin and Shadows by Keri Lake with the hope that something a little dark will help me slowly recover from Liv Zander’s world😭 β€’ β€’ β€’ Books | romance | bookshelf | bookstagram | readers | book content | reading by @bookish.with.anna
