I have to remind myself to not rush the year away and that August still counts as summer! I love any chance to hear my favorite artists live. Seeing Mumford & Sons and the Jonas Brothers at MSG were concert dreams come true! Walking through Mayor Mamdani’s New York made me feel so hopeful for our country. Last fall, I saw his campaign signs throughout the city and now he’s doing the work! It’s amazing to see how much progress he’s made in such a short time. I can only hope people around the country see success stories like his and are willing to put in the work in their own communities to make lasting change. One simple thing we can do is to vote on November 3! Also, go Knicks! by @booksbakingbroadway

It’s (unofficial) fall, y’all! 🍁🧡 This morning was slightly chilly, I’m allowing myself apple/pumpkin/cinnamon everything now that it’s September 1st and tonight I’m watching Practical Magic for the first time ever! Also, this is probably the most random stack of orange and yellow books but hey, it’s what I found in my house! 🤪 by @booksbakingbroadway

July brought me so much joy. I watched 2 amazing performances - Hadestown and a local production of Suffs (GCS All County Theatre was 1 of only 12 high school programs in the country chosen to perform this production before it’s rolled out nationwide). I read quite a bit and finally got out of a reading slump ending the month with 9 books read. The peach danish from @nineofcupsgvl and the birthday cake cinnamon rolls from @sunday_crumb_ are some of the best pastries I’ve ever eaten! Yay summer! by @booksbakingbroadway

June was a media-filled month that made me cry (in the best way). I love nostalgia!!! Toy Story 5. My childhood! The Notebook musical came to town at last. Nothing makes me happier than finally seeing a show whose cast album I’ve listened to for years. Voicemails For Isabelle became a rom-com that will live rent-free in my head forever. I started sobbing the first 10 minutes of the movie and when it ended, I just sat there in awe. Rom-coms have made me into the person I am today and this one was without a doubt top-tier! And, last but certainly not least (!), my favorite tv show, The Bear, ended with a beautiful season five. I can’t believe this journey with its extraordinary cast of characters is over. This month had such a huge impact on me. 🥺 by @booksbakingbroadway

A list of things I love (in no particular order) that carried me through May - the start of farmer’s market season, finding my favorite author’s books at my library, iced matcha from local coffee shops, buying delicious food from small businesses, rambling talks on road trips, mental health walks and quality time with family and friends. I tagged a few of the local spots I always recommend to people visiting Greenville 💚 by @booksbakingbroadway

April // lots of time spent with loved ones, delicious food, Artemis II, Indie Bookstore Day, new Noah Kahan and Olivia Rodrigo music // when this particular month rolls around every year, I feel like coming back to life after a long winter // I love Greenville, South Carolina 💚 by @booksbakingbroadway

Last day of May and I’m finally posting a recap from March! This is a month I look forward to mostly due to the extra hour of daylight it brings and knowing warmer weather is on the way. A few highlights: I spent quite a bit of time in the car traveling to Savannah, Charleston and Atlanta. I love checking out indie bookstores in the cities I visit and especially love finding new-to-me ones! F1 finally returned after its winter break and nothing is more thrilling than the start of a new season. I watched Project Hail Mary in theaters and wow! Amaze amaze amaze. Annie Andrews visited Greenville and it was so inspiring to see her energy reverberate throughout the bigger-than-anticipated crowd. SC might be a red state, but there’s important (!) dots of blue here and I’m always encouraged seeing people show up and show out. IMPORTANT PSA: VOTE!!! by @booksbakingbroadway

What a stunning collection of poems from @elisepowerspoet in her debut book (out today)! The way she can weave together words and transport us into an experience is like no other. I’m so incredibly proud of her for sharing her heart so openly. Thank you for giving this beautiful gift to the world for us to revisit anytime we need reminding of the joy that can be found in the everyday. by @booksbakingbroadway

One of my goals for 2026 was to post more personal content on this account either via stories or monthly recap posts. I clearly haven’t stuck to it since I’m writing about last month on March 30, but better late than never! February started off with an amazing Super Bowl halftime show by Bad Bunny. What a performance! For the rest of the month, I was practically glued to the TV watching the Olympics. Go sports! Nothing makes me happier than watching people achieve their lifelong dreams. by @booksbakingbroadway

I’m back! I didn’t take many photos, but I feel like I accomplished a lot in the time I spent off social media. I tried to live offline as much as possible while still staying semi-informed. I called my reps using @5calls. I cried a lot during therapy. I supported small businesses in my community and checked out books from the local library. January is notoriously my least favorite month, but I’ve come to the realization that it’s much needed after the end-of-the-year chaos. Rest is an important part of the healing process. I’m still easing myself into 2026, and even though there is much work to be done, I’m closer to where and who I want to be. by @booksbakingbroadway

Hope you’ve had some good moments in 2025 and wishing everyone a wonderful start to 2026! I’ll be off of social media for January, but will return in February 💜 by @booksbakingbroadway

Happy publication day to this beautiful book written by @thebackstageblonde! Today, it’s shared with the world! I’m excited to dive in 🎭🎶
