BTW Magnet is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Ronnie A. Doughty as its new principal. A proud BTW Magnet graduate from the Class of 2001, Dr. Doughty returns to lead his alma mater after an extensive career in public education.

Dr. Doughty brings a wealth of administrative and instructional experience to the role, having previously served as a teacher, literacy coach, assistant principal, summer school principal, and most recently, an Education Specialist with Montgomery Public Schools.

His leadership approach centers on fostering strong relationships, high academic standards, and collaborative communication to drive student success.

“Returning to serve the school that helped shape me is truly a full circle moment,” said Dr. Doughty. “I respect the talent and dedication already present within our school, and look forward to building upon the strong foundation and rich legacy of BTW Magnet. Together, we will continue creating an environment where students are challenged academically. inspired artistically, and supported personally.”

Dr. Doughty will officially assume his duties and welcome faculty and staff back to campus on August 31st. by @booktw.mhs

You may dress out for Picture Day! Come ready to look good, feel good, and smile big!

Remember, your outfit must still follow MPS/BTW dress guidelines. If your attire does not meet expectations, you will be asked to contact a parent/guardian for a change of clothing.

Let’s show that BTW scholars can have fun, show their style, and represent our school well! How we handle this opportunity can help us earn more dress-out days in the future! by @booktw.mhs
