529 days since it was just an idea 289 days since we made our first successful batch 103 days since we found a manufacturer (yes this took this long) 0 days since launching BOOSTCOUS From sourcing flour, to finding a manufacturer, to packaging, we’ve had to learn how to build a food Buisness from the ground up. But HOW COOL is it to start a brand from scratch, as if it’s a school project, and see Boostcous come to life! On my 35th bday nonetheless! Next week we’ll be shipping our first boxes and we can’t wait for y’all to get your mouth on it🫦 Who’s excited, WE ARE by @boostcous
SLOW BRAISED BEEF OVER COUSCOUS 🔥 And this isn’t regular couscous. @boostcous is made with protein and fiber, so it’s hearty, actually filling, and can hold its own under all that braised beef instead of just being a side dish situation. ✨What you’ll need: • Beef chuck roast from @bearcreekfarm • @boostcous • Yellow onion, diced • Garlic • Beef bone broth • Butter • Salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika • Fresh parsley ✨Recipe: • Season the beef generously and sear on all sides until you get a good crust. • Remove the beef, cook the onion and garlic in the same pot until soft. • Add the beef back with beef broth, cover, and braise low and slow for about 3 hours, until it shreds with a fork. • Cook the couscous in water for 7 minutes and rinse briefly once done cooking! • Pile the shredded beef over the couscous, spoon extra liquid over the top, finish with butter, parsley and of course cheese!! Save this for your next Sunday dinner. #braisedbeef #sundaydinner #comfortfood #easyrecipes #couscous by @boostcous

TOASTED PROTEIN @boostcous (no boiling necessary!!) SALAD TOPPER My salads ALWAYS need a crunch, so here I took the couscous, roasted it in a hot pan and done!! A crunchy and PROTEIN packed salad topping! -Heat up a pan over a medium flame, spray with avocado or olive oil and then toast the raw couscous until golden brown (make sure to keep an eye on it, it can burn quickly) I love different textures and flavors in my salad so here I combined romaine lettuce with roasted sweet potatoes and eggplant, dates, cucumbers, red onions and feta! Topped with lemon mint dressing and my crunchy @boostcous for the ultimate salad. Feel free to omit the cheese, add some chicken etc Lemon mint dressing: 1/4 cup lemon juice 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 1 tbsp chopped shallots 2 tsp dried mint 1/2-1 tsp kosher salt (to taste) (Optional: 1/2-1 tsp maple syrup if you need to cut the acid but I love it lemony) by @boostcous
