What do you call a group of cellists? In this instance, it's a trio of @borlettibuitonitrust cellists all independently in London for performances this week. @zfungcello premiered a new concerto by Laurence Osborne entitled "Sun Sundered Head" on Wednesday with the @royalphilorchestra; Friday it's the turn of @senjarummukainen, playing Shostakovich with @bbcsymphonyorchestra with fellow Finn @sakarioramo; and on Sunday @nicolasaltstaedt turns back the clock for a French-flavoured baroquefest with @thomasdunford and @jeanrondeau.official at @southbankcentre's Queen Elizabeth Hall. An embarrassment of cello riches if ever there was one! by @borlettibuitonitrust

The third stage of @filippogorini.pianist’s Sonata for 7 Cities project took him to Hong Kong. As with every album on his piano odyssey, it combines major works from the repertoire with contemporary compositions: the recital pairs Beat Furrer’s new Étude with works by Schubert and Brahms.
