Last Thursday, I was honored to be named one of @sdbusinessjournal’s Top 40 Under 40 Business Changemakers We even got a letter from Mayor Todd Gloria, which made it hit even harder. But the truth is, I didn’t do this alone. To my team at @fortino.studios : you’re number one. You make this happen with me every single day, and this recognition belongs to all of us. To our clients: thank you for trusting us with your brand and your story. To our partners: thank you for working alongside us to deliver amazing campaigns that actually make an impact. And to SDBJ and the entire San Diego community: thank you for the recognition and for always showing up for one another. Here’s what “changemaker” means to me. We built Fortino Studios to help industry leaders tell stories that drive results. We’ve turned down clients who didn’t align with that. We’re here to help brands earn attention, build trust, and turn content into business outcomes. This is only the beginning. Stay tuned for the journey. And if you’re out here making change in San Diego, let’s connect 🙌🏽 by @brandon.fortino
I’m excited to share with you that Short Form Pros is now Fortino Studios. Not because we wanted a new name. Because the old one didn’t tell the full story. When we first started, people think that we are just a short-form editing service. Someone you hire to clip content and post it online. Then we’ve grown to something much bigger. Today, we operate as a full content department for founders and B2B teams: – Crafting Messaging and positioning – Supporting Production and on-site filming – Distribution tied to real business goals Creating content that supports sales, recruiting, leadership, and brand building. Beyond the social feeds. Fortino Studios is simply the name that finally reflects the work we’ve been doing all along. If you’re a founder or executive who needs a reliable content engine, one that ships every week without demanding your constant attention, this is what we’re built for. You can explore the new site, review our case studies, and see how we work at www.FortinoStudios.co. This is a new and exciting chapter. Excited for what the year has to come by @brandon.fortino
Disney is one of the best storytellers of our era. Let me know what you think, would you use this strategy in your videos? by @brandon.fortino
Nothing like watching your organic traffic drop and getting called into a meeting to explain what went wrong. And of course, everyone wants to blame AI. We caught up with Rand Fishkin (@randderuiter), co-founder and CEO of @sparktorohq at @Ahrefs Evolve, to get his take on what's actually happening with search. Are people really abandoning Google for ChatGPT? If revenue is still growing, should marketers even worry? Share this with RevOps. #zeroclickmarketing #ahrefsevolve by @brandon.fortino
Your next customer might not even visit your website. They might send their AI agent instead. We caught up with Howie Xu, Chief AI and Innovation Officer at @GenDigital, at @ahrefs Evolve to talk about what happens when AI agents start making purchasing decisions on our behalf. Howie predicts that advertising to AI agents could become a major marketing conversation as soon as next year. And his example of how shopping behavior could change makes that prediction a lot less far-fetched. Might want to bring this one to your next 2027 planning meeting. by @brandon.fortino
Everyone says go all-in on Reddit. Now you’re studying subreddit rules like your stock options depend on it. 👀 We caught up with @RossSimmondsIG at this year’s @Ahrefs Evolve to ask where brands should focus next year to get seen in AI search. If you’re making the content, you know how this goes. Someone sends over an article, and suddenly you’re adding another platform to your workload. Ross says give it 30 days of research before you go all-in. Watch what he’d check before Reddit takes over your job description. Drop this in Slack before Reddit becomes your next side quest. by @brandon.fortino

@MrBeast just made a move that should make EVERY brand rethink its content strategy. 👀 Brands spend MILLIONS trying to buy attention, while MrBeast built an audience so valuable that @Mastercard wants to go into business with him. And some brands STILL think content is just about getting views. 💀 by @brandon.fortino
Content marketing is one job title with enough side quests to keep updating your LinkedIn skills. We caught up with Gaby Arora (@gabriellearora), Content Marketing Manager at @bitly at @ahrefs Evolve. She knows what people assume the job involves, so we talked about what her days actually look like and what she thinks marketers should focus on next. #ahrefsEvolve by @brandon.fortino
I’ve been coming to VidSummit since 2022, but this year hit a little different. For the first time, instead of just being in the audience learning from the people on stage, I had the opportunity to emcee the Keynote Hall alongside @heystephanielive Still feels a little surreal saying that. I got to introduce people like Caleb Hammer, Derral Eves, Sean DoesMagic, and so many other incredible creators and speakers throughout the week. But what I’ll remember most is getting to see what it takes behind the scenes to make an event like this happen. Reading the room. Watching the clock. Communicating with the crew. Helping prep speakers. Filling time when plans change. And constantly asking myself: “How can I be useful right now?” I also got to see the power of YouTube from a completely different perspective. Thousands of people traveled and bought tickets to learn from creators they’ve spent years watching through a screen. Seeing that in person really puts “views” into perspective. Those aren’t just numbers. They’re real people who trust you enough to show up. I’m incredibly grateful to Stephanie Garcia, Derral Eves, Owen Hemsath, and the entire VidSummit team for trusting me with the opportunity. Especially knowing that just a few years ago, I was one of the people sitting in those seats taking notes. This year, I got to stand on the other side of the stage. Definitely one I won’t forget. If you’re not on YouTube yet, whether you’re a creator or brand, you want to be. This is where all the attention is at right now and in the coming year. by @brandon.fortino
You might be making content way harder than it needs to be. Editing your own videos. Recording every day. Posting to every platform manually. Starting every idea from scratch. They all work. But there’s a much better way to do each one. Here’s how I’d rank your options from terrible to excellent. by @brandon.fortino
