We had our Grand Opening today at our new office in Irvington! We welcomed neighboring businesses to come meet us, with the help of Westchester’s very best @waltershotdogs! Brian Leetch and Willie Randolph stopped by to make the day even more special. @collectiblexchange has found its new home! by @brandonsteiner
Have you ever gotten into an argument at work, with a friend, or maybe even a sibling? With the people closest to us, we seem to always dig a little deeper with our words because we know they’ll still be standing beside us in the end. But the truth is, no argument is worth having if all you’re trying to do is win. We treat every argument in our lives like a debate we need to win to get elected. The reality is, if you aren’t trying to win, most things can be fixed. Instead of focusing on a dispute with an employee, find out what’s bothering them and see how you can help make things better rather than focusing on what makes your own life easier. Be an open ear for your brother or sister, your parent, your spouse, or a friend! Find out what you might be doing that’s contributing to the disagreement, and instead of trying to be the winner, try to be the problem solver. When you become the problem solver in an argument instead of the winner, you won’t be standing alone when it’s all said and done. I’ve made the mistake of thinking I won, only to realize I was losing the whole time because I wasn’t focused on what mattered most… the other person I care about. Don’t win… just solve. by @brandonsteiner
