20th place in the pro category. Second year of doing the True Grit Mountain Bike Race and it was incredible. 11 minutes faster than last year, and last year had a road segment the beginning. Can not wait to see how much faster I go next year. - There is two people I really want to say thank you to. First, @johntcobb88 from waking up early almost every other day to pre ride the course, to advice on race tactics and taking the wind on bear claw. He truly helped take my training to the next level and also made it incredibly fun. Next is Andy, he helped get my bike race ready and also preformed a last minute brake swap. He truly went above and beyond to help me out. I literally would not have been able to stop if it was not for him. - Always need to thank @theinfinitloop for fueling me to the finish line. After four hours of hard racing, 295 tss, I had no gut distress. Honestly mind blowing. @peakathleticcollective by @braxton.d.little
2nd at the St. George Fall Tour 57 mile course. This actually turned out to be a lot of fun. Such a great last minute thing to add to my calendar. Even better I got to do it with best bud @sammyfishface - Along for the ride was also the classic @blanks_sports_nutrition high carb mix in the bottles. At no point did I feel a dip in energy. Kept the watts constant through out the whole event. If you need a drink mix for your next event definitely check them out. #ad #bike #stgeorgeutah by @braxton.d.little
After 3 years I returned to the @parkcitypoint2point wow I can’t believe I actually really enjoyed this race. I really want to go back next year. I was able to beat my time from 3 years ago by 35 minutes. Even though I think the course was harder this year. So awesome that I got to ride with @sammyfishface again. Glad he let me sign him up when he was on his mission. - Huge thank you to @blanks_sports_nutrition they have made every race possible this year. From the deserts in Arizona for BWR to 7 days of mountain bike racing in Canada. I could not have had the success that I had this year without them. Anyone with goals should definitely check them out #ad #bikeracing #mtb Photo @sammyfishface took of me after I told him I was going to throw up Even got to ride with the K mister again by @braxton.d.little
Before and after 145 miles at Mirror Lake Road Race Maybe should have dialed it back for my first ever road race because this race was absolutely brutal. Thank you to @ibb_cyclery for letting me barrow a @sramroad 2x drivetrain. I definitely needed the full range of the drivetrain. Extra special thank you to @samgoodrich_1 for coming to the race and supporting me. - Always need to say thank you to @blanks_sports_nutrition for supporting me for every race this year. I think with the amount of different races I have done this year speaks to the versatility of their products. Only one race to go and I know with @blanks_sports_nutrition support it’ll go great. #ad #roadbike by @braxton.d.little
@edenepic this was quite a race. From the hike a biking to the cramps, I don’t think a race has ever pushed me like this. I am definitely going to need a couple years before I decide to do this race again. - Always a plus having @blanks_sports_nutrition in the bottles and pack. They kept me fueled all day so i could pull out a 4th at this brutal race. Thank you @blanks_sports_nutrition Always nice to race with @sammyfishface again. Can’t wait @parkcitypoint2point in September. by @braxton.d.little
Unfortunately not the pre race post I was planning on making do the wild fire in Beaver canceling @tusharcrusher . In lieu of that post, I’ll talk about what would have been my fueling strategy for @tusharcrusher Fueling has become way more simple thanks to @blanks_sports_nutrition I basically just need to think about what flavor I want in my bottles and pack. For crusher I was planning on using my custom @blanks_sports_nutrition drink mix in the spirit of the seagull flavor. I go heavier on the sodium and the carbs compared to the standard high carb mix. Then two gel flasks with Blanks Sports Nutrition hydrogel in the unflavored version. I like the unflavored version as it is easier to put down in longer races. In total this would have lasted me fours before needing to refuel with a target goal of 100g of carbs per hour. Next race is @edenepic and I going to use the same fueling for that as well! Thank you Blank Sports Nutrition #ad #bike by @braxton.d.little
@bcbikerace was such an incredible experience. This race has always been a dream race to go and it was even better than I could imagine. 7 days of just riding the best trails I have ever ridden. Could not have asked for a better crew as well. So incredible to see everyone push the limit of their personal fitness and skill everyday. Need to say an extra special thank you to @kaylebgillespie for helping get the @alliedcycleworks BC40 up to tip top shape. Whether installing some wireless blips or new @noblwheels race wheels the week before the race he stayed after work to help me. I can’t thank him enough. Also can’t thank @blanks_sports_nutrition for fueling me every stage. My power average never changed more than +/- 5 watts. This is largely because of being properly fueled everyday. If you are looking for a drink mix to help you achieve your goals, I can’t recommend them enough. by @braxton.d.little
Well April didn’t go to plan either… A crash late in March separated my collarbone from my shoulder and I needed to get zip tied back together aka get surgery on my collarbone. Even though I could not ride outside I spent a lot of time on the trainer this past month. The only thing that kept me sane was “Spirit of the Seagull” drink mix from @blanks_sports_nutrition . Blank sports nutrition has a ton of great flavors to help fight off flavor fatigue so you can always get the all mighty carbs on your ride. Make sure to check out blank sports nutrition for good flavor and custom drink mixes at a great price. #bike #highcarb #ad by @braxton.d.little
7th at Roxsand Gravel this year. The new 48 mile course was a definite highlight, I am just excited to ride it has a training route now. The lowlight was fighting those 20mph cross and headwinds all day🥴 Another highlight was the pineapple hydrogel from @blanks_sports_nutrition to help reduce some of the suffering. When gusts would come on suddenly and strong it was great to be able to simply twist open the flask keep it in my mouth till I was done. One handed operation of gels is a game changer. by @braxton.d.little
Before the dust has even had time to settle on the @argon18bike Dark Matter, we are back racing this weekend at Roxsand Gravel. Can’t wait for my second favorite race of the year. @sramroad Force XPLR w/40t chainring, paired to Zipp 303 XPLRs @conti_bicycle Racekings 2.2in (best gravel tire on the market) @wahoofitnessofficial ⏱️ @blanks_sports_nutrition ⛽️ @ibb_cyclery 🛠️ @kask_sport protecting the noggin @castellicycling covering my butt and even carrying some of the liquids as well by @braxton.d.little
BWR 3rd, 19 - 34 wafer category Such a great way to start out the year with a podium. This race was so much more technical than I was expecting. Always fun to be traveling with @johntcobb88 and @cassielcobb also always great to be fueled by @blanks_sports_nutrition high carb mix in the bottles and hydration pack. Using the gel flask was so convenient when needing both hands on the bars for descents. by @braxton.d.little
