I wasn't planning to create another travel account.

But after years of traveling the world, I noticed the same thing over and over again: so many people dream of visiting Brazil, but they don't know where to start. They're worried about safety. They're afraid of language barriers. They don't know which places are actually worth visiting in such a ruge country.

That's why I created @brazilwithluci

I'm Brazilian, I've explored 20 of Brazil's 27 states and traveled to almost 40 countries. Now I'm here to help you experience my country with confidence.

If Brazil is on your bucket list, you're in the right place.

Welcome! 🇧🇷

🌴 2 weeks in Brazil for beach lovers and couples

Want the perfect balance between an exciting city and a few days of pure relaxation? This combination is for you.

❤️ WEEK 1: RIO DE JANEIRO
Spend your days exploring the famous sights, relaxing on the beaches, enjoying Brazilian food, and watching the sunset. Leave room for spontaneous plans!

🤍 WEEK 2: PICK YOUR BEACH ESCAPE

São Miguel dos Milagres, Alagoas
- Fly to Maceió (MCZ).
- Arrange a transfer or rent a car for the drive to the coast.
- Enjoy quiet beaches, natural pools at low tide, and charming pousadas.
- Best for: a slower, intimate trip with plenty of time to unwind.

Praia dos Carneiros, Pernambuco
- Fly to Recife (REC).
- Continue by road to the Tamandaré area.
- Plan a boat trip, visit the famous seaside chapel, and enjoy the palm-lined coast.
- Best for: beautiful scenery, boat excursions and a relaxed beach escape.

🌊 Before you go: natural pools depend on the tide, and the experience can vary significantly from one day to another. Check the tide table and plan your trip around it.

🇧🇷 2 weeks in Brazil: Rio + tropical beaches with a fun vibe!

If you’re visiting Brazil for the first time, I’d spend one week in Rio and one week exploring another region. Brazil is HUGE, so choosing less destinations is key!

☀️ WEEK 1: RIO DE JANEIRO
A possible itinerary:
- Day 1: Ipanema, Copacabana & sunset at Arpoador
- Day 2: Christ the Redeemer & Sugarloaf Mountain
- Day 3: Santa Teresa & City center + soccer match
- Day 4: Rent a bike in Lagoa de Freitas + Beach day + bars in Arnaldo Quintela
- Day 5: Botanical Garden or Tijuca Forest
- Days 6–7: Explore at your own pace, enjoy the nightlife. Don’t rush!

🌴 WEEK 2: ITACARÉ or PIPA!

ITACARÉ, Bahia
✈️ Fly to Ilhéus (IOS), then travel roughly 1.5–2 hours by road.
Best for: surfing, jungle trails, waterfalls, beautiful beaches and a relaxed, outdoorsy crowd.

PIPA, Rio Grande do Norte
✈️ Fly to Natal (NAT), then transfer roughly 1.5–2 hours to Pipa.
Best for: beach hopping, dramatic cliffs, dolphin spotting, restaurants, bars and a social atmosphere.

✦ My tip: choose ONE of these destinations rather than trying to squeeze both into the same week.

Tomorrow, Brazil votes — and our country has never felt more divided.

On one side, Flávio Bolsonaro, son of the former president and a far-right candidate. On the other, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the current president. Two opposing visions for Brazil’s future.

Today, over 2 million people filled Paulista Avenue in São Paulo, taking to the streets to stand up for democracy, freedom, and the future of our country.

Tomorrow is about more than choosing a president. It’s about deciding what kind of country we want to be.

Democracy is worth fighting for 🇧🇷✊🏼1️⃣3️⃣ by @brazilwithluci

4 beaches, one day, and a whole lot of Bahia 🌴🌊

If you’re coming to Itacaré, save this one! We spent the day exploring four beautiful beaches, each with its own vibe — from little hidden corners to those postcard-worthy views.

And honestly… Itacaré keeps surprising me. 🤎

You’ll walk through Atlantic Forest, cross small stretches of coastline and have the chance to stop at different beaches along the way.

📍 Route: Itacarezinho → Camboinha → Havaizinho → Engenhoca
🥾 Difficulty: Easy
⏳ Allow around 3–5 hours depending on how long you stop at each beach

And honestly, don’t rush it. The whole point of this hike is being able to stop, swim, relax and enjoy the different landscapes.

Save this one for your Itacaré trip! 🇧🇷

🇧🇷 If you want to really understand Brazil, listen!

Gaúcho music, vaneira, fandango and strong European influences make this region sound completely different.

Five regions. So many sounds. 🇧🇷

Which region's music surprised you the most?

People often think Brazil = dangerous. But Brazil is HUGE, and the reality can look very different depending on where you are. 🇧🇷

🇧🇷 Itacaré, Bahia: Jeribucaçu Beach

If you’re looking for one of those beaches that makes you think, “How is this place real?” — put Jeribucaçu on your Itacaré itinerary.

The beach is surrounded by Atlantic Forest, with the Jeribucaçu River meeting the ocean, creating an incredibly beautiful landscape.

Getting there involves a hike through the forest, but the reward at the end is definitely worth it. 🌊🌴I booked a tour and stoped at Usina Waterfall on the way.

📍 Location: about 17 km from Itacaré
🥾 Difficulty: Moderate
⏳ Allow at least half a day (it's a full day if you book the tour)

And don’t just stay on the sand — take some time to walk along the beach and see where the river meets the ocean.

It’s one of those places where you really understand why Bahia is so special. Would you add Jeribucaçu to your Brazil itinerary? 🇧🇷
