Time feels like an eternity and also yesterday, it’s crazy that it’s already been a year.

So much I wish I’d done and said. I wish I hugged you harder last Christmas, and I wish I’d lingered around the house longer and laughed with you. I wish I told you how deeply I loved and appreciated you. It’s hard to swallow that you missed my wedding, and you’ll never meet my kids or be around for the mundane moments in between.

Not a day goes by that I’m not thinking about you. I’ll never stop bringing you up any chance I get, truly you were that extraordinary. You were the most selfless person I’ve ever met. I miss you deeply Dad and I love you. by @bre.myvett

The very first day of the year I sat down and made a list of goals and wants for myself. Four days in my whole world flipped upside down. I look back at these photos, none of them super aesthetic or nice. But each one was a moment where time kinda stood still.

Making a house a home. My front seat packed with Chick-fil-A and Bible after every funeral. New family, new promises, new covenant, and a new name. Eating on the floor because there’s no furniture. Obviously my Meg’s. Full houses and honest worship. Grieving in my 20s. Two of everything now. The best date, I may have ever been on. Little sisters I didn’t know I needed this year. The BEST honeymoon.

I didn’t finish a single thing on my list this year. The trajectory of my year wasn’t what I planned or wrote out. I lived a year where my wildest dreams came true and my most genuine fears become a reality; and the two coexisted.

If this year doesn’t look as good as everyone else’s when they post in a few weeks, it’s okay, me neither. Social media really is just a highlight reel. by @bre.myvett
