“Slow is smooth , smooth is fast” .

Starting jiujitsu in your 40’s with the body of a beat up combat vet ain’t for the weak. This journey is just chock full of humility . Luckily the marines prepared me well for this 😂. I got hurt last week and couldn’t go live in class this week . I not going lie… I was salty 😂. Buuuuut God is always working in the details. And I got to slow down what I was seeing and pull some art outta of it. As always Mahaloz to my BRADDAH/coach/kingdom killa @gabrielmiller_xii for the pushing, teaching and braddahood along this journey. Jiujitsu has been helping heal stuff in me that I wasn’t expecting it to. So if you my age or older and sked for start. No be sked. This community is so dope and is and has been saving a lot of lives with its art. I’m just Honored to help find some art within it. by @breakingdown_wallz

For this years mental men’s health awareness
I want to encourage all my Braddahs everywhere no matter what you been through, what you are going through. It is not meant for you to conquer alone. Brotherhood is sacred and we all need it. Jesus walked with 12 , who are we to think we should walk alone. I wanna highlight and organization that is helping men to find community to walk alongside one another and develop the tools you need to heal. To be the man you and family need . To walk out the life that God desires for you. This organization is @etl_community . They are doing incredible things. Please follow and get connected with them as online resources. They host retreats for men from all over the country in the Nashville area. I would also encourage anyone who has these resources no matter where you are. Drop your city and the organization that does this work. Fo da boiz!! Do not go quiet and slow my brothers . YOU MATTER!

In the midst of whatever it is that you are going thru. We have the opportunity to BEHOLD HIM and be reformed into deeper relationship.
This is sometimes… The only thing I feel is present, in certain seasons…. And praise God for that. Father search me and continue to shape me into a man so focused on beholding you that everything in else in our lives would pale in comparison .

These past 6 years have been a season of waiting. Struggling with what’s next and am I making the right decisions. Dealing with a lot of ups and downs, but during this season I’ve learned a lot about myself and have grown tremendously. God has equipped me and built me up for such a time as this. My identity isn’t in what I do but who I am in Christ. KĪPAPA is just another tool and opportunity to help build and lift others up. I am beyond grateful. #kipapa by @breakingdown_wallz
