🌎INTERNATIONAL COLLECTIVE STANDING AGAINST DISCRIMINATION INTO THE BREAKING SCENE ✊🏼✊🏽✊🏿
POSTS STORIES REELS
BREAKING THE SILENCE ✨ We are an international collective rooted in the Breaking scene, standing against discrimination through an intersectional approach. Our mission is to create safer, more inclusive spaces for everyone in the community. 💬 Creating change starts by breaking the silence. . 👉 Swipe if you don’t know the term “intersectional approach.” . #BreakingTheSilence #Intersectionality #BreakingCommunity #Inclusion #Equity #CollectiveChange #HipHopCulture #BreakTheSilence by @breakingsilenceco
We believe that speaking up is a powerful tool for change. This collective is rooted in the act of speaking up, and through that, we realize that we are not alone. Discrimination isn’t just one story, it’s a system. By understanding it intersectionally - across gender, race, body, class, and sexuality - can we begin to challenge it. Our vision is a Breaking community involved in building on a safety, respect, and equality. A united collective where every voice contributes, and our shared power grows through connection and collaboration. . What does breaking the silence mean to you? share 🪄 . #BreakingTheSilence #SpeakUp #Intersectionality #CollectiveChange #EqualityInMotion #BreakingForChange #PowerInUnity by @breakingsilenceco

We are excited to launch… 🚀 WORDS: Definition and Meaning🚀 Is a monthly series exploring not only what words mean, but also what we do with them: how they are used, interpreted, and experienced within our communities. 🗓️ Each month, we focus on one word and explore the meanings, assumptions, and experiences that can exist beyond its definition. A word can have a neutral definition and still carry social meanings, histories, and consequences that extend far beyond the dictionary. 🫂This series is not about holding “the truth.” ✅It is about approaching language with curiosity, openness, and care, recognizing that meanings shift with voices, contexts, and the relationships we share. 🎯Because language does more than communicate,it shapes relationships, norms, and systems. The words we choose can influence who feels included or excluded, heard or silenced, protected or overlooked. 🎯🎯We invite you to reflect on your own experiences, and share your thoughts. How does this word resonate with you? What meanings does it carry in your context? 📣Follow the series through our stories and in the WORDS highlight on our profile. Breaking the silence starts with a conversation.💬 L’est share #education #community by @breakingsilenceco
Hello everyone, ✨ We’re looking to connect with organizers who are ready to reflect on questions like: • What values does your event stand for, and how are they actually implemented? • How do you ensure inclusion, diversity, and safer spaces in practice? • What responsibility do you take as an organizer toward your community? • How do you select artists, and who gets access to your platform? 🔶What we propose: • collective discussions (before / during / after events) • co-creation of tools (checklists, protocols, feedback systems) • sharing experiences and challenges in a constructive way • supporting the development of more conscious and inclusive events Through conversations with artists, participants, and organizers, one thing became clear: events today are not only about performance, they actively shape culture, values, and community. ⚡Let’s growing together, sharing responsibility, and building better spaces for everyone. If you are an organizer open to exchange, collaboration, or simply curious to start a conversation, get in touch. DOCUMENT AVAILABLE IN OUR LINKTREE (LINK IN OUR BIO) by @breakingsilenceco
Our monthly series word: SILENCE The dictionary defines it as a simple "absence of speech," but lived experience could tell a different story. Silence can be a strategic choice (active), or a suffocating imposition built by fear (passive). When the community cannot or will not recognize what lies behind the unspoken, people remain in fear, and this passive silence becomes normalized. What kind of silence do you think is the one presented in the example? Comment below! 👇🏾👇🏿👇🏻 #Silence #WordOfTheMonth #LivedExperience#BreakTheSilence #Perspective by @breakingsilenceco
Our monthly series word: VIOLENCE Did you know? ⁉️🕵🏽 In addition to physical violence, there is also psychological, behavioral, and verbal violence. When a community fails to recognize these forms of violence, people may become afraid, and harmful behaviors become normalized. Eventually, silence remains. Would you like to share other examples of violence? How do you deal with violence in your community?? Leave a comment below! by @breakingsilenceco
Our Monthly series word: RESPECT Respect can mean listening, giving space, acknowledging differences, setting boundaries, or treating someone with the same consideration you would want for yourself. Respect is something we show, not just something we say What does respect mean to you? Let us know in comments ⤵️ #breakingsilence by @breakingsilenceco
⭐️Our Monthly séries word: SAFETY Safety is more than the absence of danger. It is a lived experience that not everyone shares equally. This month, we invite you to reflect on what safety means in your own life and within the communities around you. 💬 What does safety mean to you? L'est us know in comments ⤵️ by @breakingsilenceco
Our Linktree is OUT 🪄 A door, now open to everyone in any moment 🌹Inside: • A Manifest Protocol our values ✊🏽✊🏼✊🏿 • A Call-Out Protocol tools to act 😎 • Ways to connect and build with us📝 This is a living process. A collective effort to make breaking safer, with care and accountability. If this speaks to you, save it, share it, stay close. More is coming. 💥 by @breakingsilenceco
