Danger... is my mother's maiden name. Yes, I'm that journalist and yes, I'm also that actor-writer-host-comedian and photog. I contain multitudes, ok?

POSTS STORIES REELS

Welp, it's my birthday, and this is what I look like these days. Got my headshots taken for the first time in about 9 years (thank you @petekonerko !). They're not yet edited, and while they don't literally show the injuries and scars, the hundreds of thousands of miles driven, the big wins, the painful losses, the close calls and adventures, the kisses and the joy, and all the little heartbreaks, I think I can see them in my eyes, and so I like them a lot. I think we are in a constant state of trying to settle into who we are just as we are continually changing into somebody else. That's part of what keeps things interesting. Anyway, to my friends and family, thanks for doing life with me. Let's have another round. 💜 by @brentdangerrose

EDIT: More than 5 million people watched this video on YouTube in just the first few months. I love breaking stories like this. Search "wired moonwalkers" and you'll find it.

AI powered robotic shoes that let you walk 2.5X faster without additional effort? Yup, that's what I just tested in my latest video for @WIRED (link in my bio). I have to say, this was the most fun I've had making a video in a while and I very much hope you'll watch it and then let me know: Is this something you'd consider using, or are they waaay too out there? Who wants AI powered electric heelies? by @brentdangerrose

How's my parking? #ConnectedStates #Vanlife .
This Monday in the Badlands. This is a single exposure. #sonyA7Riii, #Rokinon 14mm lens. F/2.8, ISO 6400, 30 seconds. Edited in Lightroom to bring out color and contrast. The red at the bottom is natural, filtered through the smoke of the many wildfires currently burning in the western U.S. The van is my house. The guy in the middle is me, in awe, per usual. Enjoy your weekend.

Pun costumes are my love language. Do you get it? by @brentdangerrose

Friends, my newest video just came out and I'd be honored and delighted if you'd watch it. You know how we're always being told that it's impossible to make electronics in the US? Well American Hi-Fi audio is like, "Hold my beer." How can this one industry be making high quality tech, domestically, at an affordable price, when others are claiming it's impossible? To find out, watch this video. You can find it at the link in my bio or by searching @makepossibleworlds on YouTube. We're a young channel so liking, subscribing, and commenting on that video really helps! (consider it my belated birthday present 😉). Thanks much! -B

Somehow, it's my birthday again, so here's my tiny nugget of wisdom. The world is feeling increasingly scary and chaotic and it's not always a good time, being on this planet, but I'm glad to be here with you. This last year the lesson I kept learning was to lean into community, into friendships (new and old), and into family. Even when I just want to crawl into a hole and hide. Especially then. Curating a rag-tag group of lovable weirdos to share this ride with really is the best thing I've done in my time here (if only because I never learned to do a backflip). So I thank you for the love, the laughs, and the support, and if I didn't get a pic with you last year, well then let's try harder this time around the sun. Love y'all! 💜 -B by @brentdangerrose

My dear and super talented friend @melissathemoose booked a bigtime movie that's premiering soon, and she needed some fun #lifestyle type photos to send to her publicist. So I said let's see what we can do! Two hours and many laughs later she had roughly 100 usable contenders. These are just a few of my favorites.

If you're in LA and need something similar, gimme a shout.

Tres leyendas. Tres estilos.

If you're wondering about why everybody (myself included) is freaking out about the recent news around #BearsEars and #GrandStaircaseEscalate National Monuments, here's why. In 2017, during the first version of this nightmare administration, they tried to reduce or remove protections around 27 of our National Monuments so they could be sold off to big business, largely for extractive purposes (oil drilling, coal and mineral mining, primarily).

I was a freelance journalist living in a van at the time, so I decided to visit all of those monuments and make a one-minute video for each to raise awareness about how unique and incredible they are. That public comment period received more comments than any other in history. Tr$mp ignored it, and tried to sell it off anyway. Thankfully the B!den admin reversed that, but now here we are again.

This month they announced their plan to cut Bears Ears and Grand Staircase by 90%. NINETY! They're spreading lies that they hold no value to you, and that "you can't even walk on them." All obviously completely false. These lands are incredibly sacred to Native Americans, critical science work continues there, and they are absolutely incredible to explore. I went back to these two monuments the in 2018, too, just to take more photos. Please take a look at these.

These are YOUR public lands. They're your kids' and grandkids' inheritance. They will never recover if we allow them to to be destroyed today. Raise your voice, call your reps, and do not stop! We've saved them once before. We have to do it again.

@jacobatwood, one wave at the @kswaveco . Again shot with the @gopro #Mission1Pro at 1080p960 then slowed down to 30fps. Bending time is fun. Jacob was absolutely on one... #surfranch #slowmo #surfing by @brentdangerrose

Last month I got an incredible day at the Surf Ranch, checking out @outerknown's new lineup and mostly surfing like a kook, but I was also playing with @gopro's new #Mission1Pro which can film at 1080p960, effectively giving you an absurd 32x slow motion in HD. I'd been dying to give that a proper test, so in between my heats I hopped on the back of the jetski and got to shoot the legend @sebastianwilliams1 absolutely ripping. It's so wild to see how at this speed water almost turns to glass, and then to watch Seb slice through it was such a treat.

(As always, not an ad, not sponsored. I just thought this was cool as hell) #surfing #slowmo #surfranch #sebastianwilliams by @brentdangerrose
