A Willie Wagtail amongst Coral Gum (Eucalyptus torquata) for this little brick shed at a home in South Perth.
I loved how this turned out with the bricks showing through.
Tricky to get a photo with the low sun behind the shed. by @brentonsee

A little video of this recently completed water feature area. This was a lot of fun especially being able to paint a Tiger Snake. by @brentonsee

I love when I get to paint things I haven’t done in a while. I was super happy with how this turned out amongst the water feature. A bit tricky to paint while sitting on the rocks.

All finished at East Beechboro Primary School.
Bit of a tricky one to video and photograph due to the bright light coming through the holes in the bricks messing with the colour.

The colours and fauna are the school factions.

Greater Bilby (Macrotis lagotis)
Western Brush Wallaby (Notamacropus irma)
Numbat (Myrmecobius fasciatus)
Quenda/ Southwestern Brown Bandicoot (Isoodon fusciventer)
Common Dampiera (Dampiera linearis)
Golden Wreath Wattle (Acacia saligna)
Red and Green Kangaroo Paw (Anigozanthos manglesii)
Firewood Banksia (Banksia menziesii) by @brentonsee

Where in Northcliffe will you find this mural? 👀🐝

If you’ve travelled around WA, you may have come across Brenton See’s artwork. He’s spent years painting native wildlife and landscapes, and I’ve been so impressed by how interested he is in the life behind his paintings.

Brenton also happens to be friends with Dr Kit Prendergast, our Bee Festival keynote speaker, and has been drawing on Dr Kit’s knowledge of native bees as he works on the mural. I love how much thought is going into it.

A big thank you to the Shire of Manjimup for supporting the Northcliffe Bee Festival and funding this mural. We can’t wait to share what Brenton is creating, and where you’ll find it in Northcliffe.

Any guesses?

Just the outlines left to go on this Native bee mural for @northcliffebeefestival . Thank you to @dr.beebabette for your help in the research stages for this.

It’s been a great learning experience doing murals like this which can be painted on marine plywood and then picked up and installed on site.
This is the option I now provide for murals out of Perth as it’s a bit too tricky to travel with a young family and wife just as busy as I am.
