"Our ancestral beauty so elite
oooh they couldn’t take us.
couldn’t take us so much that they took us
studied and shook us
bought and bartered for us
tried to get to the bottom of our beauty
bred us, in attempts to perfect our perfection
our bone structure
descended from the heavens
carved by the stars
kissed by the sun
cooled by moonlight
jealous of our bones.
they created ways to mimic and manufacture them
our bones launched a thousand ships
built, created and maintained a civilization
upon these shoulders we stand
from within that pelvic bone
we were birthed to be
a canal of passage and existence;
ooh that bone ain’t nothin to be played wit

literal, scientifical, mystical, metaphysical
bones are humanity realized, manifested
physical and digested
tried and tested
we are who we are and these bones are us all

no matter your status, values, or pride,
politics, first world, or victim of genocide,
at the end of the day,
we are all just a pile of bones.
humanized
and revolutionized.
use the bones to unify.
Stand, fight, and fortify.

For when we eat the rich,
how else will we pick our teeth."

Ready to jive back into TimeLine this fall!
(no rest for the wicked, and i love it)

An exploration of marriage, nostalgia, and the allure—and delusion—of the “perfect”

A couple living their "dream": a romanticized, immersive, idealized 1950s suburban life fantasy. Yeah, that's a lot. So of course it's not sustainable and begins to fray and unravel.

Are you ready to go on a trip this fall? Well, this amazing cast of players and weirdos are ready to take you there. Back creating chaos with one of my fave collaborators Derek Van Barham, we're really gonna grind your gears with this one.
It was actually the dance call that got me extra excited for this production. This cast really showed up in the room, and I knew then, that a time will be had and some artsy art will be made.

And as a note: full transparency, I had reservations about doing this show. on paper, the ensemble of this show is written a very specific way, and could easily (and lazily) be cast in a certain way, but no, we're not doing that in 2026. we all have the power to challenge, EMpower, and excite. Use it.

directed by @dvbarham

I've been saying that theaters have definitely been playing it safe lately, but THIS sure ain't that.
This show is rough as trade, and gaggy as a classic Ru-veal. It's in your face, unapologetic, high camp, and also asks some really tough questions.
Not your typical night at the theater, ohhh no... and ain't it grand. This cast... this team... LET'S GO!

'A Strange Loop' by Michael R. Jackson
directed by Mikael Burke [@mklburke]
a co-pro with Raven Theatre & About Face Theatre

*That's right, as of today, I'm officially in rehearsals for 3 different shows, simultaneously. But don't worry, when one opens, rehearsals for another begins. My Season of Movement is comin' in HOT! before my exeunt into the wings (stepping back a bit to make more room for performing and writing). by @breonarzell
