That’s a wrap on my trip to Japan. What a beautiful country. I met some awesome people, ate consistently delicious food, explored cities (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima), bamboo forests, and gardens, saw a baseball game at the Tokyo Dome (bucket list item), and played with an impromptu band at an open mic at Ruby Room in Shibuya. The last full day was spent at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial, a deeply moving experience and testament to the resilience of the country after catastrophe, but also an important statement of what is at stake when the world doesn’t strive towards peace. Really grateful for—and humbled by—the opportunity to see the world. 🇯🇵 by @brettcsteinberg

The @AmericanSongwriter Between The Lines camp was an absolutely incredible experience. I met otherworldly-talented and kind artists/songwriters from around the world and learned from a panel of mentors who all have opened my eyes and sharped my skills. Friendships were forged, songs crafted and performed within hours, and memories made that I’ll remember forever. Special thanks to the mentors @dashamusic, Tushar Apte (@springloaded), David Ryan Harris (@drh3), @samhollander, Mike Flynn, @stephiedavenport, @ashleymaietta, @jackamo8991, @empire, Hannah Parker, and @girlillajennie, the folks at American Songwriter who made this possible — @scottgraves518, @annabatesmusic, @hc.taylor, @natalie.reynolds, @erikcreates, and @icecoldtr3, as well as all the artists in our songwriting cohort for creating, facilitating, and nurturing a magical experience. I am in awe of—and learned something from—each and every one of you. Here’s to music and friendships. by @brettcsteinberg
