If Ouroboros eats itself, does that mean it shits out the parts of itself that it ate and eats its own shit? The shit eating has to stop. Vote the Serpent out! by @brettpetersen613

Last night I made it to page 100 of my novel in progress! Only roughly 130 more to go. The gates of Hell are wide open and the demons are pouring through 😈 by @brettpetersen613

I've always felt like an alien, but drumming in bands makes me feel like I belong.

I unearthed a song I wrote in 2004 called "Bleeding Rainbow Over My School" for Slug Chapel and even wrote a second verse! Only some things in the lyrics are based on true events, it's up to you to figure out which 😁 by @brettpetersen613

Slug Chapel "Candy Apple" live at El Dorado. Thank you to everyone who came out to my debut show. Sorry to @surfsikband for the door situation and their fans and drummer getting kicked out, I feel for ya. Maybe we can do another show at a venue that allows folks under 21. by @brettpetersen613

Just ripped thru one last practice before the show. In the words of Spongebob Squarepants: "I'm ready!" 🔥 by @brettpetersen613

Swipe to the end for a fun bonus 😂 by @brettpetersen613

Druid Stone will not be performing with Slug Chapel and Modern Day on 8/29. Thank you to @surfsikband for filling the slot, I can't wait to groove with y'all 🏄‍♂️🌴 by @brettpetersen613

Today I decided to get back on Zoloft. My new doctor thinks it will help with the OCD symptoms (which weren't a thing until I stopped taking Zoloft which I had been on for 16 years but had to stop in 2019 because I was on too high a dosage which led to me being hospitalized for serotonin syndrome.) A lot of good could come out of this, but I have a lot of fears as well: seggsual side effects being the thing I'm most concerned about. And what if I end going manic or with serotonin syndrome again? Both these things could seriously derail the progress of my novel just like in 2022 when I couldn't sit still long enough to write a single word due to mania. My doctor will be monitoring me every step of the way, but mania, to people who've experienced it before, can be like the effects of hero*n: an addictive, alluring state of mind people chase for the rest of their lives. Will I have the willpower to report my manic symptoms if they were to arise? God, I hope so. The goal is to gradually increase to 75mg, so hopefully the dose will be low enough that none of the bad shit happens. In my latest Tarot reading, which was weeks ago, I drew the Tower in the "unknown to me" position which is at the bottom of the deck. The Hierophant, the King of Cups and the Hermit also made an appearance, my interpretation being that I've felt isolated for a long time, and institutions like psychiatry will play a role in my future and perhaps a catastrophe will unfold at some point. But the Tarot just predicts potential futures, nothing is ever written in stone. I'll do another reading today and see what comes up. I believe Fate can be transformed by the hammer and chisel of one's own will in many cases. Let's just hope this piece of stone cleaves the way I want it to. by @brettpetersen613
