A brief bit from “Milk & Honey” - the title track of my new album, releasing FRI APR 10th :)
.
“Milk & Honey” is about letting go of the version of yourself that was stuck chasing ghosts - old dreams, old pain, old identities - and choosing instead a life grounded in love, risk, and honest becoming. It captures that quiet turning point where you stop wandering and start living with intention, even without knowing exactly where the road leads. At its heart, it’s a song about rebirth - not as perfection, but as a willingness to move forward open, undone, and fully alive. “Milk & Honey” is the heart of this new album; a statement and an affirmation of life born anew.

NEW MUSIC ALERT! 🚨🚨🚨
.
‘Drunk On Love’ is now available to stream wherever you listen to music (links in bio).
.
This tune is a rowdy little love song, a tongue-in-cheek story about two hopeless (and hopeful) romantics rambling around town in a love-sick haze. Love, all its wonder and all its chaos, the “cause and the cure” of it all.
.
‘Drunk On Love’ is the second single from my upcoming album ‘Milk & Honey’ releasing April 10th. Have a listen and let me know what you think! #new music #newrelease #lovesong #drunk #fyp by @brian_mcgrath_music

‘Through the Storm’ from my album ‘Into the Grey.’
.
This tune is a somber, reflective folk ballad about surviving the difficult “grand storms” of life; about accepting human flaw, grief, and solitude, while ultimately finding comfort in perseverance and the fragile lights that guide us forward.

A bit of ‘Rustbelt Highway Vagabonds’ from my first album.
.
With this tune, I tried to capture the chaotic friction and imperfection of navigating different seasons of our life - from unbound youth to the supposed stability of adulthood, through family changes, life changes, and all the challenges the great spirit in the sky sees fit to throw in our path. It’s messy, it’s painful, even when joyful. We’re all exhausted, yet onward we go still, courageous and determined 😎👍

A bit of my tune ‘Robinson Woods’ from the album ‘The Woods Are Burning.’
.
I’ve been revisiting a lot of my older tunes lately and listening through the treasure trove of all the different odds and ends I wrote around the time this album was released. It’s been a wonderful trip down Amnesia Lane, and those unfinished tunes from all those years ago have definitely influenced the new tunes for my next album (release TBD).
.
I am in a joyful place with songwriting and playing right now, and it’s been a long while since I truly felt that. And being Irish, my joyfulness tends to lean towards darkness and melancholy and rough-hewn tunes…so there ya go, you’ve been warned :) Stay tuned, much more to come 😎👍
