Calling all Lord of the Rings fans…the next few photos are where they shot the “barrel scene” in The Hobbit. New Zealand is truly other worldly & spectacular. by @briarsandbramblesbooks

🎃Halloween is finally here,
the creepiest, spookiest time of year.
Crows and ravens squawk outside,
and jolly skeletons smile wide.
Our shelves are decked with creepy frights,
pumpkin spice, and autumn delights.
As Catskill spirits haunt the air,
Ghostly voices moan “Beware!
Check out our books…
if you dare!”
🎃Happy Halloween!🎃 by @briarsandbramblesbooks

We are SO excited to finally be able to sell these. And we 💗 the excited chatter & conversation. Trust us-we understand. by @briarsandbramblesbooks

I 💛 how the universe works. Bruce, ski instructor, surfer & lifeguard and friend, last spring gifted me a wishing stone he collected along the shores of RI. I had never heard about wishing stones. When he explained their history & meaning I was immediately hooked. He and I have begun a “show & tell” of the wishing stones we collect. This morning (I kid you not) I said out loud-Hi Universe, I could really use some wishing stones. And…just like that for the first time since March who should walk in but Bruce, with a bag full of wishing stones. There is SO much good karma contained in these stones. We will be happy to share some with you! by @briarsandbramblesbooks

The only thing possibly better than this year’s foliage is this season’s new releases. Here’s a tiny sample of books this week’s new releases. I checked out the weather for Windham’s Autumn affair this weekend…it’s going to be PERFECT for leaf peeping, small town charm, retail therapy, great dining, outdoor fun & book reading. This weekend you really can have it all. #shoplocal @windhamchamberny @windham_ny @windhammountainclub by @briarsandbramblesbooks

🍁 🍂 The vibrant colors of Autumn inspired us to bring some of that color and fall spirit to our shelves. It might be dark and rainy out today, but we are keeping it warm and bright in the bookstore! 🍂 🍁 by @briarsandbramblesbooks

Years before I opened Briars & Brambles, I began finding pennies and somehow I knew they were from my grandmother. So when Signs by @lauralynnejackson first came out it confirmed that the universe truly does send signs. No surprise then that *Signs* is our #1 bestselling book by far! Last weekend @omegainstitute hosted a weekend retreat with Laura Lynn and I was able to share with her just how much her books have comforted and inspired so many of our customers (see her note to us). Stay tuned for what we have planned to be able to share more of our collected sign stories. Trust the universe & the signs 💫💫💫 by @briarsandbramblesbooks
