POSTS STORIES REELS

Yesterday, I attended the Breathe, Then Write Poetry Retreat.

My Reflections:

Breathe, then write...Read, then write...Speak, then write...Eat, then write...Walk, then write...Then breathe, then share...Then breathe... breathe...breathe...breathe...

This retreat was NEEDED! It was such an open, caring, welcoming, mindful, community-fulllll space. I wrote a lot and met some amazing people during the activities. The open mic was the most comfortable I've ever felt reading in front of people. I think because I was so relaxed. It felt like I could breathe and control every word as it came out, when usually my words quake. I shared a poem I'm still working on but wanted to share, and it felt great!

Thank you to @penda_writes and @sanghahousenola for facilitating and hosting such a beautiful day for writing poetry. I needed to #writesomething and nourish my soul.

Peace and love 🤎💛

🤎 Captain’s Log…

I’ve lost track of the weeks. I’ve lost track of time. All I know is to read a bunch and write even more.

I’m in a course called “Advanced Poetry Writing.” Where to next? 🤎

🤎 If I could describe #weektwo in one word, it would be organization!

I managed to write, study, work, and focus on how I could be more organized with my classes. I’ve color-coded all my binders.
