The Bridport & Lyme Regis News hits the shelves today 🎉

In this week's edition, you can read interviews with key players in west Dorset's hospitality industry and their fight for survival in a tough economic climate.

🚲We spoke with a cyclist left 'vulnerable' and 'heartbroken' after three road bikes worth a total of £20,000 were stolen from his workshop.

🐦Filming has taken place in Bridport for BBC series Winterwatch thanks to some special guests nesting near a local chippie.

🐐The owner of two adorable pygmy goats snatched from a west Dorset farm (and, luckily, found and returned by police), said she feels 'vulnerable' and has told us of her concerns about rural crime in the area.

☕ The owners of a Beaminster café are swapping their three-day-a-week café business and embarking on an exciting new endeavour - themed restaurant nights.

All this plus:
🚲Work to construct a safe route out of a village for walkers and cyclists has started.

🚗An update on work at a Bridport car park amid complaints about its “shabby” state.

📸Fascinating photos of west Dorset in our nostalgia pages.
