Hip-Hop & Lil' G in: "Hip-Hop, the Philadelphia Sixers Mascot - NBA Total" (2002)

♪ - Opening (Mega Man 8)

An obscure early 2000s Hip-Hop video I discovered last week, featuring Hip-Hop and Lil' G in a "day in the life"-style short focusing on their daily routines prior to and leading up to game nights… though my Mega Man audio swap practically turned it into a Hip-Hop anime opening. 🤣

Had to replace the original audio because when I initially tried uploading it two days ago on June 29, the usage of the Rocky theme (during the running scene, of course) led to the post getting blocked for copyright. Since I had to replace it, why not get creative with it and shift the vid's entire vibe?

Routine segments:
7:13 AM - Morning workout
1:00 PM - Lunchtime
6:45 PM - Game time

YouTube upload (by CLOSE TO THE STARS) with the regular audio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAhctwS1oz8

(Note regarding the original version linked above: The footage was taken from the "NBA Total" program hosted on the Catalan TV channel El 33, hence Hip-Hop being voiced in said language)

17 Years Ago Today…

On January 24, 2009, the Sixers held a Phillies Night in honor of the 2008 World Series champions, with pitcher Brad Lidge throwing the honorary tip-off.

Joining Lidge in attendance were fellow Phillies players Shane Victorino and Ryan Madson, who all participated in a free throw contest during halftime.

The Phils' Commissioner's Trophy was also on display. Notably, the trophy was held by the Phanatic when posing with Hip-Hop for a photo.
