You can understand your patterns beautifully and still find yourself repeating them. Rude, I know.

And that’s something I’ve become increasingly interested in through my years of studying and teaching astrology.

What are we actually doing with this information?

That’s the question shaping the next chapter of my work.

And it’s why I’ve created 🪐 From Courtesan to Queen: A Seven-Day Astrology Practice. 🪐

And Ma’am before you start getting all bunched up about Courtesan…we approach her from a place of power and we don’t eliminate her…we embrace her.

This is a free guided experience exploring worth, desire, and personal sovereignty through your birth chart. Not for everyone, each journey is a woman’s own through the guide.

Not because the Courtesan is wrong or needs fixing. She’s intelligent, brilliant even, adaptable, and extraordinarily skilled. (Ummm, I’ll take a side of Courtesan, how about you?)

But there’s a difference between being powerful because you know how to be chosen and having the freedom to choose yourself.

Both have power. Only one has sovereignty.

And that distinction is worth exploring.

The free workbook is now available.

Comment Queen and I’ll send you the details.

Because insight is not the crown. Practice is.

If you are in my world, learning from me, working with me, or engaging with what I create, I ask that you never forget that my Indigeneity is inseparable from my work.

I will not set my aside my identity, diminish my values, or compromise my integrity to make others comfortable. And I will not normalize the disregard of those values within the spaces I create.

I will continue to share generously. I will continue to honour the legacy of the work that came before me. And I will continue to protect the work I am creating.

These things can coexist.

As I move into 2027, I am becoming even more intentional about the work I bring into the world and the ways I choose to share it.

Generosity and sovereignty have always belonged together. by @brittaney.bartel

Most people treat their birth charts like a cosmic personality quiz. It’s so much more, witches. 🌀

You stare at your placements, trying to understand why you are the way you are, why you keep repeating the same patterns, why your life feels stuck.

And then you collect another interpretation, comment “Moon” and pay for that workbook, another transit report. Another Astrology app, another horoscope.

But what are you DOING with it?

You picking up what I’m putting down?

Because reading your chart for information alone is leaving so much POWER on the table.

Your birth chart isn’t just a description of your personality. It’s a living, you hear me, living blueprint for working with your patterns, strengths, desires, and the parts of yourself you have not fully claimed.

Yeah that’s right, these energies are not traits to memorize. They’re energies you can consciously engage with through rituals, spells, incantations, and everyday practice.

And sometimes? The most powerful magic is ridiculously simple.

A single word, spoken with intention. An incantation you can return to again and again. Just laid into your everyday conversation.

We speak it inside a reading over and over as we talk.

And WHAM.

You start to feel a shift in your whole body.

And that’s when the planets stop being symbols you read about and start becoming energies you actively engage with.

Your Venus isn’t just something to understand. It’s an energy you call forward when you’re ready to stop negotiating your worth.

Your Mars isn’t just a description of your drive. It’s an energy you can work with when you’re ready to claim desire.

Because when you’re waiting for your chart to tell you who you are, what you’re allowed to want, or when you’re allowed to act, you’ve handed it your authority.

You’ve become courtesan to your own chart.

The Queen doesn’t wait for permission from her planets. She works with them.

Command your chart. Don’t sit there reading it.

It’s not a book.
It’s a living practice.

Insight is not your crown. Practice is.

Your courtesan to queen code is coming.

Both have power. One has sovereignty.

Your child isn’t giving you a hard time. They may be asking you to develop something you’ve never learned to give yourself.

Let’s talk elemental differences in family, my friends 👇

Imagine you’re a heavy Fire parent raising a Water heavy child.

🔥Fire is Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius
🌊Water is Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.

Fire signs move fast. You solve problems by taking action.

Your child? They have big feelings. They cry. They need time to process.

And there you are trying to FIX the feeling when all they want is for you to get in the pool with them.

They don’t need a solution. They don’t want to be moved along.

They need a hug.

And here’s the part that might get you.

You want a hug too.

But somewhere along the way, you learned to move through difficult emotions by doing, fixing, or pushing through.

And now this little person in front of you is inviting you to practice something different. 🥹

Are they being difficult?
Or is their invitation challenging you?

You’re not a bad parent. Say that out loud.
You’re being asked to grow and growth is uncomfortable.

So the next time that Water baby melts down, try telling yourself:

“I’m uncomfortable right now. They’re asking for something that isn’t my natural instinct.”

Do you want to comfort your child? Of course you do.

AND

You’re allowed to feel all kinds of ways about how that pool feels to swim in.

You don’t have to love discomfort to choose to sit beside them.

And maybe, while you’re learning to hold space for their feelings, you’ll begin making room for your own.

This is astrology practice.

Your birth chart can show you the difference. What you choose do in that moment is where growth happens.

Sincerely,
A Cancer baby raised by a Sagittarius mama who understood the assignment.

Her emotions, her moods, her sense of safety, were never things she needed to overcome in pursuit of her desires.

They were EXACTLY how she accessed the actions to pursue them.

Because she moves when she feels.

For years as a nurse, I treated chronic stress like a badge of honour. I thought being capable meant being exhausted.

A lot of women get stuck in the cycle of healing and self-awareness:

You understand why you’re burned out, you know your trauma, you analyze your patterns…but you’re still waking up to a life you have to survive.

Self-awareness tells you where you are. Sovereignty decides where you’re going.

The turning point wasn’t when I discovered astrology. It was when I stopped using it as an excuse or a mood board, and started using it as a practical tool for self-leadership. I traded survival identity for real authority over my time, my energy, and my work.

I out this exact practical framework I used to move from survival into sovereignty into a free guide called Courtesan to Queen, and it officially drops later this week.

Comment QUEEN below and I will send you the early access link the second it goes live so you can be the first to grab it.

Mercury retrograde has arrived, our final one for 2026.

What a time to enter the chat Mercury. Sandwiched in between Scorpio season, a Venus cazimi, and a Full Moon in Taurus.

If you’re having an identity crisis, you’re right on track. It’s all a game of introspection, it’s all a descent. A quiet, a hush, asking you to surrender to the gentle tug you’re feeling to go within.

The retrograde is October 24-November 13.

Mercury is how we think, process, communicate, and perceive.

Scorpio rules the underworld and takes us beneath the surface and into the territory of trust, intimacy, truth, secrets, vulnerability and power. And any other part of the human experience most of us want to turn away from.

And retrograde? That’s our cosmic invitation to reflect, reconsider and revisit.

THE DO’S

👍 Revisit old conversations with fresh perspective. What do you understand now that you couldn’t see then?

👍 Get curious about emotional triggers. Why does that particular memory, conversation or person still hold so much power?

👍 Question your assumptions. Are you responding to what actually happened or what you fear it means?

👍 Explore your own psychological depths. Journal, reflect, investigate your patterns with compassion not judgement.

THE DONT’S

👎 Confuse obsessive investigation with intuition. Sometimes there’s nothing deeper to discover, you need to become more comfortable sitting with the unknown.

👎 Assume every unanswered message is evidence of betrayal. Sometimes people are just busy, babe. Until they tell you it’s about you, live your life like it’s not.

👎 Reopen a relationship because nostalgia decided to knock on your door.

👎 Weaponize someone’s vulnerability because you feel threatened.

👎 Believe that knowing every detail of someone’s inner world will somehow make you feel safer in yours.

Mercury rx isn’t punishment. It’s an invitation.

You can close a 20K deal without blinking, then sit at your own dinner table and struggle to ask for what you need.

You can lead an entire team, but struggle to take the lead when it comes to your pleasure in the bedroom.

You want fame and recognition, but the moment you’re visible you start editing yourself to make sure everyone approves.

You can be the woman everyone relies on and still feel guilty receiving support yourself.

Somewhere along the way your worth became non-negotiable in the places where you achieve, but negotiable in the places where you need, desire, and receive.

And THIS 👆 is why I love working with Venus in your birth chart.

Venus isn’t just about love and attraction. It’s one of the places we explore your relationship with worth, pleasure, value, and receiving.

Your Venus sign and house is just a starting point.
But we don’t stop at identifying the pattern.

We’re going deeper to explore WHERE you’re still negotiating your worth, WHY those patterns might be showing up, and the strengths already present in your chart that we’ll use to kick the shit out of those old patterns.

I’m not interested in helping you become a powerful woman only in the places you’re already succeeding.

I want the same badass woman who closes the 20K deal to be able to sit at her own dinner table and ask for what she needs. No negotiations welcome.

The same woman. The same worth. The same authority. Everywhere.

And Venus? She’s only one part of a very unique Courtesan to Queen code in your birth chart.

Insight was never your crown. Practice is.

Your Courtesan to Queen code is coming. Stay close.

Both have power. One has sovereignty. by @brittaney.bartel

It’s Scorpio season…cue the onslaught of posts telling you Scorpio has depth…thank you Captain obvious.

But how many times can you read that year after year?

Try this and watch Scorpio season actually get to work in your life 👇or don’t and I’ll meet you back here next year for Scorpio season.

🦂 Stop calling it strategy when it’s manipulation. If you have to engineer someone’s response to feel secure, you’re not exercising power. You’re avoiding vulnerability.

🦂 Stop staring at everyone’s genitals and calling it intimacy. Sexual chemistry is deee-licious, but it doesn’t automatically mean someone is emotionally available, trustworthy, or capable of meeting you in the depths.

🦂 Your obsession isn’t always intuition. Sometimes you’re not picking up on an energetic connection. You’re having a hard time tolerating the unknown.

🦂 Stop testing people’s loyalty instead of telling them what you need. Setting a trap to see if someone loves you is not the same thing as allowing yourself to be loved.

🦂 Privacy and secrecy are not the same thing. You are allowed to have a private inner world. You don’t need to make every relationship a psychological crime scene.

🦂 you cannot control your way into emotional safety. And you certainly cannot control your way into genuine intimacy. Intimacy asks you to risk being seen without knowing exactly what comes next.

🦂 If you can understand surrender as a choice, you’ll lose the need to control. Surrender is not submission, it’s admitting you’ve taken it as far as you can and consciously hand over the rest to the universe. You’re not giving power away, you’re choosing where it ends.

Scorpio season is not just an event in the sky. It’s an invitation to notice where you’re gripping, where you’re protecting yourself, and where life is asking you to surrender.

So unclench those white-knuckled fingers from the railing you’ve been gripping for dear life, and take a fucking trust fall into the Universe and into yourself. In-to-me-I-see.

Insight is not your crown. Practice is.

The struggle is this 👇

You’re asking your child to experience the world through your glasses 🤓😎 and you’ve never tried on theirs.

Read that again 👆

Your child does not approach or experience the world the same way you do.

AND it’s not because you’re the adult. This is not a developmental thing. It’s a person thing.

In astrology, we begin with the Rising sign.

Why?

Because it’s the starting point of the birth chart. It’s where you get handed your special little glasses for the world.

Your rising sign is the lens through which we approach and experience the world.

Glasses is the analogy for me.

And your babe? They have their very own pair on right now.

Their glasses influence how they approach new experiences, respond to their environment, and make sense of the world around them.

Now think about parenting…

How often do we expect our children to respond the way we would?

Be comforted the way we would?

Learn the way we would?

But what if the problem was not in your child’s response…what if the problem lies in the different glasses you see the world through?

Imagine knowing how to approach them when they’re facing something unfamiliar, instead of pushing them into a situation they’re not ready for?

Imagine knowing why one child jumps at new experiences and one wants to sit back and observe.

Imagine if power struggles stopped because you knew you were not in a battle of wills but your approaches were misaligned.

And imagine what changes when your child feels understood instead of constantly being asked to adapt to YOUR way of experiencing the world.

You’re an incredible parent, and you’re two very different human beings approaching the world in different ways.

This is where Family Astrology changes the conversation.

This is EXACTLY what we do inside The Family Constellation.

We start with the one struggle that rules them all APPROACH.

We’ll teach you the strengths, the challenges and the practical solutions by helping you understand the unique lens your child is looking through, and how to use their birth chart to create more ease, cooperation and connection in your home.

Spoiler alert…not all kids need the same bedtime routine. 👇

Find your child’s moon sign because we’re talking about bedtimes and a moon placement is one area you can use for bed.

🔥 Fire Moons | Aries, Leo, Sagittarius

Tuck them in, kiss them goodnight, and allow for quiet play in their room.

Fire is energy and expression, let them burn off any excess with quiet play. It gives your child the freedom to wind down their own way rather than expecting them to lie perfectly still.

🌊 Water Moons | Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces

A sensory experience at bed is always the way to go. Involving water makes it gold.

A warm bath, not necessarily to get clean, but to simply soak and unwind. A favourite scented lotion afterwards, if they enjoy it. Soft nightlights, dimmed lighting, keep the sounds low.

An atmosphere that emotionally soothes is nighy night. These signs have a special relationship to night time.

🌬️ Air Moons | Gemini, Libra, Aquarius

Give their minds somewhere to go. Take turns reading a book together…if you can get them on to something with chapters and you read one a night all the better!!! Or create a nighttime questions jar…you each pull a question before bed.

Similar to our fire signs, these beings have extra mental energy that can be spent before bed. When they’re able get them into a nighttime reading practice for themselves.

🍃 Earth Moons | Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn

Typically our easiest littles to go to bed. Make them a warm drink and a little snack. Sit with them in their room as you talk about what’s happening tomorrow, pick out their clothes, cross today off on their little calendar.

They’ll feel like they’ve officially closed the day.

And here’s what I really want you to understand. The bedtime routine that may work for one may not work for another. And what helps you unwind may not help them. These are ideas to experiment with, not rules every child should follow.

This is exactly what we’ll cover in The Family Constellation. We’ll teach you how to go from:

Spending an hour negotiating to creating an easy wind down routine that hits their emotional needs.
