Fighting pro at 17. Mom signed the waiver. Getting paid $35 (or nothing). Teaching adults for free. Then nearly dying after an attack that left him helicoptered out of the woods.

Edwin “Babyface” Dewees lived one of the wildest early Arizona MMA stories on record.

In episode #355 of the MMA History Podcast, he sits down with Joey Venti and Mike Davis to break down the Rage in the Cage years, Roland Sarria’s gym, the fights that almost got him to the UFC, and the night that nearly ended everything.

This one is raw. Check it out tomorrow on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple.

Sucks to related to the words of this song now 🥹💔 #matchbox20 #robthomas #unwell by @brokenforever355

I fricken LOVE ST but I’m so ready to stop relating to this damn song. My mind 🤯 Ugh. How much more can a person take. Like wtf!!! #sleeptoken #gethsemane by @brokenforever355

Just discovered this on Sawyer Hill’s photographers page. I had no idea this had been taken as well. Same song I was crying in before- it was the only time I cried and this was when I lost my composure during the end of the song because of the specific lyrics being sung by Sawyer that is playing now. Pretty cool to have a great night but a difficult moment for me, captured in frame. Thank you @thomasmith28 📸 😢 #sawyerhill #sawyerhillatlanta #thomassmith #lookatthetime by @brokenforever355

😢 the heaviness and pain is just too much. So much hiding behind this smile. Why? Just whyyyy did he do this to me. 💔😢 by @brokenforever355

THIS part in Folsom Prison Blues is something I can’t explain. The guitar play is sick as hell and they got down on it. This is my favorite part of the song just because it’s so sick sounding. 🔥 🎸 @sawyer.chill by @brokenforever355
