I’m learning that having the joy of the Lord means experiencing a deep, unshakable sense of peace, strength, and contentment that comes from God, not from circumstances. We all know life is circumstantial and ever changing. However, God is the same yesterday, today, and forever and so is His joy. Nothing we are going through surprises Him. It’s not just about feeling happy, it’s about trusting that God is good and faithful, even in difficult times. This joy is rooted in faith, gratitude, and the presence of God, knowing that no matter what happens, He is in control. It gives you the ability to stay hopeful and strong even when life feels uncertain or challenging. As Nehemiah 8:10 says, “The joy of the Lord is your strength”, it’s what carries us through! 🌸 by @brookejocee
I’ll never forget what Jesus has done for me. He saved me, healed me, and brought light into my darkness. This is my testimony. Singing this at our church’s annual Worship, Prayer, and Healing Night meant so much. Watching people come to praise God, receive prayer, and believe in His power to heal, save, restore, and transform was so powerful. The faith in the room was strong. The presence of God was even stronger. His name is power. His name is life. Thank you, Jesus. 🙌🏾🫶🏽 by @brookejocee
This is 39. ✨ My heart is full. I’m so grateful for my family, friends, and the love that surrounds me. Thank you all for your outpouring of love and kindness. I had the best birthday! I’m overwhelmed with gratitude that God has allowed me to experience the truth of Ephesians 3:20. He is able to do “exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.” I’m humbled by His love and faithfulness. Thank You, Lord. 🤍 by @brookejocee
So incredibly proud of my boy! He performed at the Crest Theatre with his music school band and did an amazing job!! We’ve had so much going on with moving and life transitions, but he stayed on top of his practice through it all. I love my children so much! Thank You, Lord. 🤍 by @brookejocee
I believe that every tear, every struggle, every trial we go through does not go to waste. I can personally say that everything I’ve been through was worth it because I’m able to pray with a fervency, believe with an expectancy, and lead people to the light of Christ from a genuine place of adoration for the God who saved me in every way. Life will never be perfect, but life is always so much better when we can lift one another up, lead one another to the Cross, remind each other that God is not done yet, that all things are possible, and that weeping may endure for a night, but joy will always come. 🤍 #powerofprayer #christianwomen #butgod #godisfaithful #grateful by @brookejocee
Grateful for the opportunity to make these memories with my family. 🌅 Summer vacation, part one, was such a blessing! See ya, Florida ✈️… Hello, DC! 🤍 by @brookejocee
After 4 years with his locs he decided it was time for a new chapter. He started water polo practice and decided he wanted something lower maintenance. It was his decision, and I’m proud of him for making it. Thanks @binkwills 💈 for getting him right! by @brookejocee
I once prayed that God would teach me how to build and sustain friendships because it didn’t come naturally to me. I was so guarded and afraid to let people in. I didn’t realize how much I was missing until God started teaching me how to love people and let them love me, too. Building community takes vulnerability, and for a long time, I thought it was safer to keep people at a distance. I’m so thankful God gently changed my heart. Now I know that healthy friendships can be safe, life-giving, and one of God’s sweetest gifts. I mean… they even come with Jeeps you get to ride around town in. 😆 I love it here. Thank You, Lord. 😌🤍 #ChristianWomen #Friendship #KingdomFriendships #JesusChangesEverything #GodsFaithfulness by @brookejocee

Mentally preparing for the 2am meeting I never RSVP for, yet somehow I’m voluntold to attend several times a week. 🤦🏾‍♀️ by @brookejocee

Sometimes growth looks like taking a deep breath and letting Jesus steer you away from a situation before someone presses the button that activates the old you. Remember, kindness goes a long way. ❤️ #jesustakethewheel #kindnessisfree #nurselife by @brookejocee
