Oh hi there!

Figured I should probably introduce myself at some point. I’m Lindsey, the person behind Brush & Brackish. I paint tiny watercolors, experiment with art supplies, and occasionally convince myself that I need another tube of paint. 😅🎨

Thanks for finding your way to my little corner of Instagram. Whether you’re here for the paintings, the process, or just to see what I’m messing around with next, I’m glad you’re here. 💛 by @brush.and.brackish.art

A little less thinking, a little more creating. 🎨💛

No plan, no expectations. Just enjoying the process for a change.

Painting fall foliage because it’s pretty. Not because I support the season or anything. 🙄🍂

Winter is coming, and I would like to formally register my displeasure.

Mini painting no. 83/100! 🎨

My vacation camera roll is definitely getting put to good use. 😅🎨

I’m slowly filling one big sheet of watercolor paper with tiny paintings inspired by our Yellowstone and Grand Teton adventures. Three down, plenty more memories to paint!

And yes, all that tape is staying put until the very end. 👀

I see absolutely no flaws in this logic. 😌🎨

I had a feeling Yellowstone would give me plenty of watercolor inspiration. It definitely delivered. 😅🎨

This time, I tackled the Lower Falls with a tutorial by Sarah Cray of @letsgomakeart. Such a fun one to paint after seeing the real thing! 🏞️

I came home from Yellowstone and Grand Teton with approximately a million photos and a whole lot of watercolor inspiration. 😂🎨

Instead of painting the actual landscapes, I thought it would be fun to capture some of the colors and textures that caught my eye along the way.

Nature really does have the best color palettes. 🌿💛

Which one is your favorite? 👀

A minor watercolor incident. Nothing to see here. 😬🎨

Shoutout to Bleed Proof White for making this considerably less dramatic than it could’ve been.

Every painting has that stage where I start questioning my decisions. 😅🎨 Thankfully, this one came together in the end!

After visiting Yellowstone recently, I couldn’t resist painting a little piece of it. I followed a watercolor tutorial by Sarah Cray of @letsgomakeart, and getting to paint a place I’d just experienced in person made this one especially fun. 🏞️💛

Turns out it’s impossible to visit Yellowstone and Grand Teton without mentally turning everything into a painting. 😅🎨

Between the mountains, wildlife, hot springs, and approximately every color imaginable, I came home with a very full camera roll and plenty of watercolor inspiration. 🏔️💛

Now I just have to decide what to paint first. 👀

A productive little painting day. 🎨✨

These tiny originals were all painted today, and I’m pretty fond of how this little batch turned out. 💛

They’re now available in my TinyGallery shop if you want a closer look! Link in bio.
