Fusion in partner dance is not simply the combination of two dances. It is the colliding in space and time of two dancers with two dance backgrounds, two very different personalities and a thousand life influences. In this way, we didn’t simply mash two dances together. But drew from the elements of ballet, UrbanKiz, storytelling, tango, film, contemporary, ballroom, and of course, Kizomba and Bachata to create a kiz-based alloy of dance that could only happen right here and right now for the medium you hold in your hands. We hope you enjoy it 😊 🎥: @jarrettbeireis 🎶: Tudo por Amor by Calema (We do not own the rights to this song.) #kizomba #kizfusion #kizombafusion #kiz #kizombalosangeles #kizinla #bachata #bachatasensual #bachatadancing #bachatadance #bachatalosangeles #fusionkiz by @bryndon.rt
This was an unexpectedly emotional moment for me. 😳 After nearly two years of training and building Kizomba @ Steven’s together, saying goodbye to @loved_by_u is like watching my little bird fly away. 🕊️ Emmie, thank you for believing in my vision. For learning and training hard. For listening to the hours of talk about connection (with a Capital C). And for letting me be the first “man to slide your foot.” It’s moments like this one that remind me why I dance. Why we all *really* social dance. It wasn’t because our form was perfect. Or because our lines and steps were perfect. Or for the perfect song. But for the slices of life with people we care about and support us. The Connection to the people around us. Emmie, thank you for growing together. For being there and letting me be there when we had no idea what this could be…through the breakups, and the moves, and everything in between. It’s amazing to see how far you’ve come. I can’t wait to see where your Kizomba journey (and your life journey) take you. And I hope we’ll see you again someday soon. 🫂🤗 by @bryndon.rt
